Some screens or affects would have large red effects across the screen in a select few areas. Unsure if this is across all platforms or just SD/Proton.
Some instances after ledge grabbing, left and right inputs would not input correctly leading to a few unfair deaths due to tough platforming segments. Effect was infrequent but occurred enough to warrent reporting. Unsure if this is across all platforms or just SD/Proton.
Some issues tinkering with controls otherwise all good
Turned off Gyro because I dont like it, ingame control settings set melee to v and ADS to hold. Adjusted mouse sensetivity to preference.
60fps with no issues on current release of proton on SD. Just wish it had native controller support like the console ports.
Wants to sit at 60 but will frequently fluctate down to ~10fps - This experience was the same between max and lowest graphical settings with caching enabled.
Great game if you like visual novels and tactics-type RPG games. Is surprisingly long. Hope you all enjoy your time with the game!

Control support with the Steam Deck has graphical issues with button prompts. Community controller layouts were not working for me and were not well configured for my liking. Followed the below Steam guide by Chortos-2 which installs mod and using modified launch option to fix controller/UI issues. Link to guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2854301523 Link to mod (in case guide is down): https://gamebanana.com/mods/download/398211
See previous notes about fixing controller UI options.
From my experience you can launch from Steam without issues/tinkering but to fix the UI/controller issues present (unless patched in the future) I would recommend following the linked guide. Steps are easy to understand and execute.
Slight frame drops during scene transition, particularly during cutscenes.
On launch these games don't work on Steam Deck. After navigating through the menus and starting new game, it hard crashes to SD menu. Tried standard versions, proto and GE versions of proton and no luck so far. Hopefully there's a patch soon to fix this issue.
Using no compatibility changes at time of review, works flawless straight out of the box. Approximately 20 hours/half way through the game at the time of writing this. Great way to experience the game.
Installed mods to patch game and enable controller support
Installed NorthernUI from Nexus
Modded game to enable a more appropriate experience on SD. I did this using a windows machine, manually installing the mods and transferring the game over using an external drive however you may wish to do this differently.
I got a clean install from Steam on my windows machine Manually installed the below mods (dragged and dropped the files and folders into the approrpiate locations. OBSE is main folder, rest of mods is DATA folder).
- OBSE (I used the community variant linked on the site) http://obse.silverlock.org
- The 3 Unofficial Oblivion Patches https://www.nexusmods.com/users/175121?tab=user+files (Not sure if it matters but install then from main game, shivering isles then dlc patch. Letting them override when asked)
- All +5 Attribute Modifers https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/2691
- NorthernUI (I used Vanilla) https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/48577
- SkyBSA https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/49568
I then renamed obse_loader.exe to OblivionLauncher.exe in the main folder. This has given me an experience just like the old console version that I loved along with fixing an obscene number of bugs and fixes the leveling mechanic issues. Best of luck to everyone, hope this helped.

Disabled movies within in game system config to avoid black screen crashes during video playback.
Downloaded and installed patch created by TheMathG0d which combines Uncensored and Steam content. https://www.reddit.com/r/grisaia/comments/w1dsmf/the_ultimate_fruit_of_grisaia_patches/
Needs further optimization but lowered TDP to half and refresh rate and fps limit to 30 both within Steam overlay and within the ingame system config.
Hope this helps, hope you enjoy the game.

--launcher-skip
As per this reddit post by user sim590 https://www.reddit.com/r/Witcher3/comments/zlzm0y/running_witcher_3_skipping_launcher_with/
Navigated to game directory, located file "launcher-configuration.json", used text editor and changed "fallback": "DirectX 12" to "fallback": "DirectX 11".
Also set game to beta version, opting for the more stable 1.32 release.
Used the previously mentioned launcher skip launch command.
Recap:
- Change launch options to "--launcher-skip"
- Go to betas tab for game properties and set to patch 1.32
- Change .json config file to default to dx11
- Set in game graphics options to med/low for stable 60fps.
Need to enable controller within game
Changed click right trackpad to left mouse click
First time launch requested Anti-Cheat install. Just clicked cancel and all good.
You need to manually enable controller - Extras > Options > Enable Controller
You just need to either use the touch screen or enable one of the track pads to function as a mouse to skip anti-cheat and enable controller. Otherwise plays as intended.
I was bad and sailed the high seas, swapping the game folder with a pre-installed copy from SteamUnlocked. This allowed me to bypass the s*** uplay launcher and theoretically get better performance with the extra DRM removed.
Uplay
60fps target - sometimes dips to 50s depending on scene.
Custom graphic settings Texture - Med Shadow Quality - Low Parallax - On Tessellation - Off Texture Filtering - 2x V-sync - Off Ambient Occlusion - Field AO & SSAO AA - FXAA DirectX - DX11
Could probably squeeze out even more stable performance dropping the settings more, res and using the built filter. But I found these settings worked best for my standards.

This is an update to an old report made months ago. Installing CryoUtilities and using the recommended settings including setting the VRAM alongside the info previous listed, this now runs at a very solid 60fps in game where previously it would not.
Turn off cloud save by default due to save wiping bugs. Also changed controller config to my preference for mouse and keyboard type interface.
Cloud saves need to be turned off by default as this can cause softlocking and wiping saves. If you want to transfer saves from PC to SD, the default save file location in windows is \AppData\LocalLow\EggHatcher\VolcanoPrincess and on SD its within compatdata for 1669980.
