While marked as "unsupported" at the time of this report. The game could at least be marked "playable" because I do not recommend running the game from SD card as this in some cases might cause some loading lags. While I did not play online multi player everything I tested ran out-of-the-box and without issues. Here is a video I captured to provide a better picture: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKxigns_QIQ
Worked flawlessly.

The game only starts on X11 and not Wayland.
THE GAME ONLY WORKS ON X11, ON WAYLAND ONLY A BLACK SCREEN APPEARS.
As of 31. December 2024 online 1v1 works flawless with Proton Experimental and solves disconnecting issue.

Works with GE-Proton9-11, for Nvidia cards using this launch argument proved very helpful
DRI_PRIME=1 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 gamemoderun mangohud %command%
it runs on high settings with 53 Average FPS for my Nvidia GTX 1050 mobile GPU. Im runnning with the DirectX11 launch option.
It doesnt give the same good FPS on high settings for newer version of GEproton like GE-Proton9-20.
Very enjoyable.

Only some network related issues because it's per to per
perfect

Flickering at startup
No Proton version other than the GE-Proton9-5
worked for me.

Tested with: Proton Experimental, 9.0-2 and GE
While in game mode, the game appeared to be out of focus or was not recognizing the controller, as the Steam Deck was making SteamOS menu noises while the game was on screen.
By switching to desktop mode, I was able to interact with the game but had no audio.

Changed ucrtbase.dll file with a newer version as others mentioned
Online throw the error "Game Session No Longer Available" if I use directx 12 but not on directx 11 version
Can only play online with directx 11
With directx 12, FPS are more stable and nicer than with directx 11 but only directx 11 let me play online without error
works just fine. installs, runs, plays. auto config for graphic settings works. 60fps solid.

online seems to work well, lag free
works as expected
GE-Proton9-5 seems to work really well

somewhat minus 10% of slow performance
just testing but playable
Mortal Kombat 11 will only play on proton 7.0.6

I tried proton 8.05 and experimental and they didnt work because it hangs at the begining giving you black screen after logos

Play Mortal Kombat 11
To fix the issue where you are constantly disconnected from the online session, download ucrtbase.dll from dll-files.com and place it under /home/deck/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/976310/pfx/drive_c/windows/system32
Excellent with the fix for the online, awful without it
Apply online play fix and enjoy the whole game!

With the GE-Proton8-27 and using the minimum graphics configurantion, the FPS is good and it can be played.
Playing with Windows I can use a high configuration, but with Linux and this version of Proton I have to play with minimum graphics.

No idea if this is the game being badly optimized or something on my end but Krypt performance is abysmal (10-15 fps) and some stages / skins drop my FPS by 20-30. Fixed by lowering settings, if I can do 60 FPS with everything maxed and then the next match I get 20 just because the stage changed I tend to lean towards garbage optimization.
Never tried multiplayer.
Game works OOB

Stuck at 15 fps. Didn't work with Proton GE 8.3 or 8.22, tried gamemoderun, prime-run or no arguments and nothing helped.
gamemoderun %command%
Game is stuck at 15 fps. One time it worked fine at 60 fps, but I could never get it to run well again after that.

Solo tenga en cuenta los problemas de sincronización en-línea y busque en otros reportes como arreglarlo.

Needed for online play: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/2594#issuecomment-833121204
To get rid of the desynchronisation error you need to follow the steps from here https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/2594#issuecomment-833121204
Tinkering isn't needed for single player, but multiplayer won't work without it

FPS drops at a certain point in history
You should only consider installing the game on a non-NTFS drive, this may cause the game to fail to start. Consider using the launch parameter you left written, in case you have poor performance. In my case I solve the low FPS
there is a slight delay in the main menu. In the game itself it seems to be absent.

Replaced ucrtbase.dll file
Low settings at 1080p, the game runs at 60 fps. Works with default Proton (no Proton set in Compatibility option)

Just install and play.
Works without problems
Works without problems
MK11 runs smoothly at a smooth 60 fps on high/max settings on both dxvk (dx11) and vkd3d (dx12).

Really weird this one, for some reason it worked when I launched steam through the terminal but not if I launched it normally

Swap the dll that others have posted for online play

Replaced the ucrtbase.dll file
Enabled dynamic resolution
Frequent dsync but solved after ucrtbase.dll replacement

Added ucrtbase.dll like described by other report
After replaced ucrtbase.dll stopped on having dsync issues and had a perfectly online experience
This game just needs a ucrtbase.dll replacement for the online play. All the rest is perfectly as it is. You can do some performance tweaks to preserve the battery and it's all.

As long as you are satiffied with 40fps this games work flawlessly
Even on lowest settings I had around 40fps on a RTX 2080

It's definitely playable and enjoyable but sometimes FPS drops and sound problem happens.
VKD3D_CONFIG=dxr11 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=0 %command%
It happens FPS drop moments
In scenes with animations (fatality and opening dialogue) it gets very big FPS drops. Othetr that it runs well it's definitely playable.

As of June 13th, 2023, this game absolutely does not work on Steam Deck, on any version of proton that is available.
Nothing comes up at all, just black screen and quits out.

Use the fix at https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/2594#issuecomment-833121204 for online to work without desyncing.

cabextract vc_redist.x64.exe
cabextract a10
sudo cp ucrtbase.dll ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/976310/pfx/drive_c/windows/system32
But only after the fix mentioned
Good but not great
The game starts with every proton. I had to put the GE-Proton7-35 version because otherwise I had an fps update below 40. With this modification I was able to play a few games locally, but if I start the story or game mode that includes cinematics, the game stops crashes during cinematics and I'm forced to restart. Reason why I only use it to play locally with friends for now.
