PROTON_USE_D9VK=1 %command% -dx11

Tried proton experimental and 9.0.1 both of them hanged when starting the game on loading screen. Proton GE9-7 works like a charm

The 4.2-9 and "PROTON_USE_D9VK=1 %command% -dx11" is the only combination that has sucessfully run the game consistently.
PROTON_USE_D9VK=1 %command% -dx11
Some audio cues appear clipped during loading.
Occasional minor slowdowns and strange lighting effects.
Framerate is not as high as expected for my hardware, though it runs decently at 4k.
The 4.2-9 and "PROTON_USE_D9VK=1 %command% -dx11" is the only combination that has sucessfully run the game consistently. The game now runs well, and I have over an hour and a half straight with no crashes, loading errors, and save failures.

Tried GE and normal proton, can't load into games
PROTON_USE_D9VK=1 gamemoderun %command%
Tried GE and normal proton and various launch arguments, can get to the menu but can't load into the game

Game starts, menu runs fine, even fast mouse, but gets stuck on the loading screen.
Starts fine, but gets stuck on loading screen

Messy loading of saves after crashing on loading-screens.
During loading-screens.
Okay, so: I know I already posted a review on this page, but I've switched from Ubuntu to Pop! OS, and my previous solution didn't work. However, I've found that a different solution (Proton 7.0-6, -force-d3d9) yeilds different but still-acceptable results: Now, the game runs with perfect performance (considering my hardware), but there is occasional-but-significant instability. In some cases, crashes can be run-ending due to how messily the saves load afterward. However, this level of performance is not something I could get out of Ubuntu, and it's allowed me to actually start understanding how to be good at the game.

-force-d3d9
When freezing and force-quitting on a loading-screen, would not load all details of a match.
Lower framerate than expected (even on menus), with a basic NVIDIA card.
Freezing on loading-screens.
I'm guessing the solution to running this stably is hardware-specific, because I tried most of the other methods proposed here before I found one which works (Proton4.2-9, launch options: -force-d3d9). With those settings, the game runs jankily but stably, which is probably to be expected of my GPU.

Weid situation keep freezing the game every time it need to load. Other than that the game actually went smooth. Sadly the freezing is bad.
The UI is a bit messed up but still readable.
1280 cannot maintain 30 fps. Need to tune it down.
Somehow during my 40mins of play every time a loading is in process the game just freez and need a hard shut and reboot into the game to get pass the loading.
Weird texture render issue.
Need to find a way to by pass the freezing issue otheewise unplayable.

Unable to start the game
PROTON_USE_D9VK=1 %command% -dx11
Tried experimental, switching to an old version of Proton, various launch options, and nothing worked :/
Had tried the other versions of proton recommended here but the game would either not start, or crash quickly. Switched to Proton Next 7.0-5 and it runs perfectly.
PROTON_USE_D9VK=1 RADV_PERFTEST=aco gamemoderun %command%
PROTON_USE_D9VK=1 %command%
stuck in loading screen without PROTON_USE_D9VK=1 but works great with it
Crashes before/after fights
Tried it on Steamdeck, had to change to the older version of proton,but the game crashes before/after each fight I had. Controls aren't good either on SD, should be ok with the keyboard and mouse.

Freezes past the "start run" launch with 7.0-4, experimental or GE. Using proton 6.3-8, the game seems to work as intended.
-force-d3d9
game starts but crashes in loading screens.
Freezes on loading screen after title menu.
Also tried experimental and 7.0-4
[Demo] Game loads into menu just fine. It freezes on loading
Loading a fight cause the game to stop responding and I had to force quit
