During cutscene audio sometimes out of sync
Sometimes low fps

Works perfectly out of the box, I'd argue even better than on Windows 11 - zero tinkering required!
I was positively surprised to see the game work immediately after installation, while being stable as a rock and genuinely performing better than when on the Windows system. Hell, on Windows I had to spend 2 hours fixing screen tearing issues and microstutters!
none

Didn't seem to properly connect from inside the game but accepting an invite from within Ubisoft Connect worked without issue
PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command%
if you have low FPS use this command in terminal: sudo sysctl kernel.split_lock_mitigate=0"
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Runs out of the box, performance is great. My launch options are for getting Mangohud and enabling game mod, they are not required.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Works fine except for the same bug as in Far Cry 5 that hair and fur are rendered as transparent
Hair and fur are transparent.

My install did not have UPlay installed correctly and uninstalling/reinstalling did not fix this (even switching proton).
If you get the UPlay error try running:
protontricks 939960 uplay
(need to have WineHQ, WineTricks, and ProtonTricks installed)
Co-Op works as expected
Game runs great with GE-Proton.
Played just fine straight out of the box with Proton Experimental. No major modifications required.
In order to run, Steam will install the Ubisoft launcher and run it inside of Proton. The Ubisoft launcher may require you to sign in, and may require you to activate the game. If so, do it and then restart the game with Steam and it should run.
Actually surprised me how perfectly this ran, I expected issues with ubisoft since on Windows I have had to deal with their launcher more.
Installed Uplay and the game sucessfully but when it tries to launch it starts then crashes after splash screen shoes

Campaign works fine, didn't try online.
Works perfectly.

Simplement injouable

WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command%
Graphical issues with the main character's hair on the initial customization screen.
If running similar hardware and Ubuntu version make sure to update mesa drivers, otherwise performance will tank! Setup used with FSR at 1970x1108 input resolution on 1440p screen with relatively decent performance(>40avgFPS).
The game runs really well. The issue where the ground is transparent also seems to be fixed
Plays flawlessly! Online works, too.
Works as to be expected! Runs perfectly well with no issues whatsoever.
Running "gamemoderun mangohud %command%"
1 crash in 20+ hours. I'd expect worse on Windows
Proton GE
A few months ago this game had a big bug but when I booted up it was fixed over the last few months. (not sure by who but it 'went away') and worked fine for me. I did have a graphics card update and game update, could be either.
for me on my hardware/software worked out of the box no compatibility options used.
defaulted to 1920x1080 (im using 1440p monitor) to get rid of driver out of date msg use uplay overlay Shift+F2 and just click the X on it, very surprised it worked ootb played a bit, no issues. benchmark averaged 120+fps occasional dips to 73, nothing below 60, I ran unlocked framrate but should be a good experience with a locked 60.

Crasheos momentaneos
If you can look past the invisible ground its basically playable.
The ground textures are just missing from the game near the player. Some significant popping in and out in trees and other objects
Game play seemed fine but render test would have moments of heavy lag on a ryzen 9 that did not exist on my 6600FX under window (same GPU)
I tried contacting Ubisoft support for the missing textures, they would not go off windows scrip even when told I was using Proton.

I don't think anyone would enjoy jumping through all of the hoops needed to play this game on Linux.
Used steam default proton as well and several GE versions of proton
The game runs fine the first time. Experience transparent or missing textures with the Nvidia 460 driver as others have. Attempting to launch the game a second time, Uplay prompts for a login. Once logged in Uplay then asks for an activation code which obviously I don't have as it is a steam purchase. The only fix for this I found is to remove the pfx folder from steamapps/compatdata/939960 which the forces a complete reconfiguration of the game including the installation of .net and vcredist etc...
The game did work perfectly fine a couple months ago with the Nvidia 450 driver and older version of Uplay. Recent updates to Uplay have cause the behavior that makes the game a effort in futility to play.
Works flawlessly

The ground is transparent and rocks/trees appear out of nowhere.
Missing trees and rocks. Shaders cause flickering. Ground is transparent.
If your textures are missing, i fixed this by downgrading my NVIDIA driver from 460 to 455.45. Get it from NVIDIA's website.
This also affects Far Cry 5
Transparent ground is really killing it for me.
There's something wrong probably with water/wet surface reflections, so the reflections look either like a mirror or are completely transparent. Sometimes it looks very confusing.
Somewhat slower than on Windows, but still very playable
I can't really say, but right from the start the transparent textures would be a major issue.
It was working perfectly until January 7th. At that date I updated my system through apt and the nvidia driver went from 455 to 460. After that the ground textures of the entire map became transparent. I'm not sure if the nvidia driver is the culprit, just mentioning. The same happened with Far Cry 5.
Runs great out of the box with stock Proton
Essentially the same as Far Cry 5 - stable 60-100 fps low settings, no issues whatsoever.
1080p maxed out settings, game runs flawless, 60-100 fps

After Install it did not startup,I guess an update borked it!
I also used protontricks to install uplay and still didn't launch. Guess I'll be adding this game to the Windows VM
Finished game with mid to high graphical issues. They were infrequent enough for me to still enjoy the game but your mileage may vary.
Flickering ground textures, sometimes in bright white. Some trees disappear from certain angles
I sometimes got discovered at outposts by shooting an arrow right into an invisible tree.
No changes to settings made any difference, nor did using newer Proton-GE versions or even the latest DXVK 1.7.1

Not the best way to play it but can do the job done
Missing some trees , rocks and will appear on no where if you change the resolution to other than default .
Its playable , but on loading times have a lot of frame drops and a little problem of screen tearing

5.9-GE-3-ST GloriousEggroll
Framerate gets choppy every now and then, but the occurrences are far and few between
- The game freezes and there's screen tearing only during the first ~10 seconds as the VRAM gets filled - I drew this conclusion based on data from dxvk hud. Everything is mostly buttery smooth afterwards. I also suggest disabling the Uplay overlay, as other users also noted.
- I used Proton-5.9-GE-3-ST
