Under Proton my Dualsense controller didn't work at all. Had to update the gamecontrollerdb.txt file to get it to work.
This fix worked for me https://www.reddit.com/r/macgaming/comments/18221z0/mark_of_the_ninja_dualsense_controller_fix_on_mac/
Occassional graphical glitches under Native, none under Proton Experimental
Under Proton my Dualsense controller didn't work. Had to update the gamecontrollerdb.txt file to get it to work properlty (this fix worked for me https://www.reddit.com/r/macgaming/comments/18221z0/mark_of_the_ninja_dualsense_controller_fix_on_mac/).
Still can't get Steam Input to work with Proton, but the native controller support is already pretty good.
Native crashes frequently, switch to Proton Experimental

Entire screen would occasionally flash multicolored pixels.
Native Linux would have graphical glitches and occasional crashes. However, Proton experimental seems to be rock-solid.

Crashed every ~30 minutes on default Proton and Experimental. Either a Steam Deck update or a later update to Experimental fixed it.

screen ocassionally flashes with weird pixels.
up to cca 3 crashes per level, every other level, in various spots and various situations.
The native linux version should be removed/proton be made default, game DEFINITIVELY does not run good out the box and shouldn't be deck verified.

Frequent jarring visual glitching, often occuring when entering vents or throwing things
If you can put up with the visual glitches, the game runs fine. But given that the non-remastered one did not have any of these glitches, I'd reccomend that version instead.

Crashed SO frequently that I had troubling reaching the next checkpoint
Everything works well besides the crashing.
Like everything there is in life, do NOT accept this lying down. Find out about it. Research it and fix it.
The fix in simple.
Set compatibility to Proton Experimental.
Not a single crash after that.
Game plays fine with default proton but proton experimental locks it to 60 fps more reliably.
I would recommend Mark of the Ninja: Remastered to any Linux ( and by default, Steam Deck) players seeking an incredible stealth based game.
Indestinguishable gaming experience from that of Windows. Plays out the box without issue on my Linux machine. This is an incredible stealth based ninja game with a solid story line.
works great out of the box... no problems with gameplay, audio, cutscenes, or crashes
Native Steam version works perfectly fine
Saves work, no visual or audio glitches/issues
I had to use proton, not the native version
Native version crashes every half an hour or so, proton worked perfectly.
