Locked to 30 fps both in-game and via performance settings
The text is really small. Eyestrain is a real problem. I'm hoping some tweaks exist to make the font bigger but there's no obvious option in the in-game menus.

Aparently the game opens some authentication popup after game launch.
This does not work on the steamdeck. Neither in big picture or desktop mode.
Aparently there are workarounds with keyboards and external monitors, but as a standalone steamdeck game, this is unplayable.
Without any changes the game would not be responsive to clicks from my mouse.
Changing my GPU settings from Nvidia "OnDemand" to Nvidia "Performance Mode" made it work like a charm.
Followed https://www.linuxbabe.com/desktop-linux/switch-intel-nvidia-graphics-card-ubuntu to switch GPU settings

Works well enough for the type of game it is
Poor framerate, but not sure if that's due to proton or the game

Works out of the box, no issues at all.
Everything works great by default.

After completing a Quest, the Screen flickers a bit. Quitting the game and starting again solves this.
Alt+Tab often makes the game unresponsive / freezes the game
Main Menu Videos (probably others, too) were working with Proton 7.0-6. Default Proton leads to static test images.
Worked exactly as expected
Just worked

Everything works like on my windows pc. It was janky at first due to misconfigured nvidia dGPU, it was using the iGPU until I took the time to configure prime offload.
Works well. I use ge proton as I was trying to improve framerates, but issue was due to misconfigured dGPU. Fixed with proper prime offload config; I haven´t reverted to normal proton since everything is currently working flawlessly.

If you're having trouble with it becoming unresponsive / freezing / slow loading try setting the environment variable WINEFSYNC_FUTEX2=0
WINEFSYNC_FUTEX2=0
If you're having trouble with it becoming unresponsive / freezing / slow loading try setting the environment variable WINEFSYNC_FUTEX2=0 . It performs much better for me with futex2 turned off. See https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/4568#issuecomment-769014022
Hope this helps! https://steamcommunity.com/id/xi_thehermit_xi/

Steam integration a little dodgy; invite codes work fine
I played the game with friends online and it just works. No difference to Windows.
The game takes a long while to start up but it does it on Windows as well. It can be a dark screen with just changed cursor during that time
The game works perfectly on Linux using GE-Proton. The only thing off about it is the long startup time, but it's not Linux-specific.
Didn't launch without forcing experimental proton, but aside from that it is flawless.
Game crashes all the time.
Games crashes all the time.
Game crashes all the time.
Works as expected
Most of the text is easy to read. Some of the plot text, which is read to you by a narrator, is small.
Connected to a host via steam invite as well as code, both work fine. Haven't hosted a game on the Deck yet (but have on my linux desktop repeatedly and it works just fine)
Menus are slightly blurry, but not as bad as other games.
Input is laggy, but not outstandingly bad
Playing a campaign with a few friends is working well so far. The deck does lag compared to their computers, but overall works just fine.
Not working
I can install the game, but is not running!
Game installed, but did not launch
Works flawlessly in local single-player mode.

Other than the headache inducing menu background and a few camera hiccups, it works great.
Menu background and opening cinematic are a nightmare technicolor mess.
Loading times are absolutely bonkers. Don't know if that's a proton issue or a development issue though. Also it hangs for a second or two sometimes when moving the camera around.

Works out of the box. Background in the main menu seems broken, but menu entries are clearly visible. No issues in game
The background in the main menu seems really weird full of artifacts and errors.
It's a great game and runs without issues out of the box.
I play weekly with other friends.
The game does not really provide local multiplayer but you can open a singleplayer session and take turns depending on the active character since it is turn based.
The original board game is recommended by me as well but this is a fantastic implementation of it to play it online.
worked straight out of the box without any tinkering
After new major update I cannot play it in multiplayer mode with my friends, game constantly crashes after loading a map. I tried to launch this game on Proton Experemental, GE and 6.19 GE-2. I have played it for 50 hours and now it doesnt work.
There is a new patch, and I could only run it using Proton Experimental. Ran perfectly.

Crashes on launch.
I tried 6.3-8 and Experimental, both would load and allow the opening splash screens up through Flaming Fowl, then crash to desktop. It may be this laptop is too old and weak to handle it.

Mainly played multiplayer online. Mainly as host. No issues at all!
Installed & pressed start.

Installed fine and boots to the main menu too. However, loading into multiplayer freezes the whole PC, and then crashes out.
I tried running with 6.3-8, GE, and experimental, all to the same effect

Load times are terrible, but I think this is true on PC as well.
The game crashed once. Luckily it saves at the start of every turn.
I played about 8 hours with friends and everything ran OOTB with no issues.
The host was a friend on Windows and I could join without issues.
I did not try to be the host myself, so IDK if that works too. The game has low FPS, but as I was told, that is also in Windows. But it does not matter for a game like this. 60FPS is enough for me in a game like this.
You can tell the devs, if you are interested in Linux support: https://steamcommunity.com/app/780290/discussions/0/3114795024895631797/

Can get to main menu but freezes on main game loading and makes my computer freeze as well
Tried with latest proton and proton GE, none work. It works on Windows10 on the same machine, though.
