gamemoderun %command%
Sprites sometimes vanish for a fraction of a second (loading in new sprites?)
Without gamemode, the framerate was unplayable. Adding gamemoderun to the launch arguments fixed this completely - it's only been a perfect 60 since then. Gamemode didn't fix the other issues I was having with the game, but honestly, most of those are the game's fault (for example, no rebindable keys) and would be problems on Windows as well.

All text is readable except for the "Last saved" in the pause menu.
TDP to 10
Almost all text is easily readable except the "Last saved" text which appears when you pause the game.
Using the touch screen changed the game's resolution (text then would be smaller). Using any deck key would revert it quickly though.
Low framerate in cities and in some parts while travelling through the rivers
Set Refresh rate to 40hz and limit fps to 40fps, altough you are going to still have some fps problems in cities and while travelling, but this game is slow enough that you probably won't mind it.
It will however get slow while translating long sentences, as erasing a wrong attempt will lower the fps to 10-20 fps.
Its a game made in unity so nothing surprising.
No issues faced at all with both default Steamdeck Controls or with an attached 360 controller via wireless dongle.
No issues found
I changed the refresh rate to 40 Hz. It's more than enough for Heaven's Vault.
It feels as if this game was made for Steam Deck. It's a smooth and bugless experience.
Completed a full playthrough using a 360 controller without issue
Works perfectly fine
Works perfectly out of the box.

Plays perfectly. No audio issues.
This game doesn't have fully voiced dialogue, which some reports seem to have mistaken for missing audio. The game also has a unique animation style, which has been mistaken for graphical glitches. Comparing to gameplay on Windows, the experience using Proton is seemingly identical.
Apart from audio issues it plays very well. Because of the audio issues I do not agree with the rating of Platinum though
Music and Cutscenes have audio. Dialogue is muted.
Characters fade in and out a bit while walking, does not disturb much though
Great experience on Linux.
My earlier report had something to do with Wayland. Switched to Xorg and its great again.

The game used to run fine via Proton, but now it's unplayable. I tried different Proton versions, also gamemode, and nothing changed.
Graphics run like it's 1 frame per second
I played for over an hour, and it was a pleasant experience. Installed it again an it doesn't work anymore, unfortunately.
Perfectly enjoyable on Linux
I was also able to play with an Xbox controller without any issue.
Works flawlessly out of the box

dxvk
Lighting artifacts, darker than it should be, flickering. Extremely minor issues.
Game completely breaks if you leave full screen, unable to go back in.
Have only played about ten minutes, but so far it runs perfectly out of the box! I copied my save over from Windows with no issues.
Ran out of the box
Tried Proton 5.09 and Proton 5.11 GE MF1, push play on steam, game goes to launch and then fails
Runs perfectly out of the box

Everything worked out of the box. At first, I have noticed small smoothness issues, but https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gamemode helped.

Sprites sometimes disappear for a fraction of a second. The frame rate is low, but playable. I had to turn the mouse sensitivity all the way down, and it's still a bit too sensitive for my taste. Otherwise, the game works reasonably well.
