The game crashed one time when i alt-tabbed, i suggest playing on windowed.

Changed right joystick to have outer ring = shift
Don't know if Drizzle (world modding tool) will work on Steam Deck, but the rest is fine.
Could not rebind keys at all. Was not recognizing my keyboard input. Found out turning off NUM LOCK was the solution. I was able to rebind all keys after doing so.
Major FPS drops at times, suspected to be Uru not playing nicely with my CPU
Check your number lock if you're not able to rebind your keys to your liking.
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="d3d8=n,d3dimm=n,ddraw=n" %command%
For this to run in steam deck as others have said here, download dgVoodoo2 and put the D3D8.dll file from the distro next to the exe for launching uru, modify the command line startup and you're off to the races. You can watch this video for details:
Install dgVoodoo2
You will probably want to bind the back buttons to F1 through to F4, and bind the right joystick touch to the right mouse buttons (if playing in first person view).
I'm still fiddling to find a layout that works perfectly, but with the amount of inputs on the Deck it has potential to be even better than the quirky PC controls.
Bugged visuals. Install dgVoodoo2 and everything will work fine (even dynamic shadows). See https://youtu.be/XxqvRO2AMyU?t=174 Note that the game only supports 4:3 aspect ratios.
Plays great on Deck so far. A very enjoyable game if you are aware of its shortcomings - mostly odd controls, one annoying puzzle (in Eder Gira) and hard-to-follow story due to being originally an online game.
The online version of the game is still playable at https://mystonline.com/play/ (but will be tricky to install on Linux/Deck), and the modding community is at https://guildofwriters.org/ (check both the wiki, and forum).
Custom
Mostly due to size.
Infrequent lag.
Texture and in-game video issues without changing Proton version.
Unplayable
Refresh Rate: 40hz
Many textures are partly or entirley white. Possible issue with transparency in textures?

Crashes after initial logo screen. (But works OK with WINE.)
Flatpak, Proton 5.0 (no pressure vessel). The relevant Steam log output appears to be:
[0405/120521.621725:ERROR:frame_sink_video_capturer_impl.cc(206)] Invalid resolutions constraints: 0x0 must not be greater than 0x0; and also within media::limits.
When launched manually with wine outside of the Flatpak container, the game seems to run just fine.
Cannot select a 16:9 resolution
Near perfect
Very rarely, the video will freeze for a fraction of a second. This seems to be most common right after entering a new area, starting an effect like rain, etc. It might repeat a couple of times, but soon everything's fine again. A fairly minor annoyance.
I was not able to change the keyboard bindings in the game's settings. Clicking a box and then pressing a key changes it to "(unmapped)" instead of the selected key.
Played through all parts, beginning to end.
There are a few noteworthy glitches which are also present on native Windows: The rendering engine occasionally misses objects which should be visible from certain locations, so you might see a far-off section of building suddenly "appear" where it looked like sky. Sometimes (after a long play session?) your library of Linking Books doesn't show correctly and you only see the top edges when trying to select one. To fix that, exit and reopen the game.
Maximum screen resolution is 1600x1200 so no HD nor 4k

Seems to run perfectly so far. A few minor issues with falling through the ground that windows users had as well and occasional problem after alt-tabbing where you can't move the mouse all the way down the screen but that only seems to happen if you alt-tab several times in fairly quick succession.

works nicely out of the box

There are some audio glitches, but the game is otherwise playable.

Increasing resolution highly recommended.

Played on highest settings - not bad for a HD 4600

Audo glitches in Relto
