I've installed the patch fr and it's possible that's where my problem is.
As soon as I press a key, the game leaves the full screen and the controller does NOT work (Switch Pro controller).
Note that I can access the overlay with the controller.
The only thing to keep in mind is the startup screen, which has to be clicked on using the touchscreen. Other than that, the experience is rather flawless.
Runs perfectly out of the box
The game runs smoothly without tinkering and controllers work flawlessly. Mouse controls might be very problematic.
The mouse camera control feels very stuttery (some refer to it as the 4Hz poll rate issue). The camera will "jump" if the mouse keeps moving in one direction, making it nearly impossible to aim accurately. An Xbox 360 controller works perfectly, however.
The overall performance is the same as that on Windows, a weird but stable 67 FPS all the way. I've personally run into serious some serious mouse issues that render the game very unenjoyable, and I have unfortunately not found the solution so I had to finish the game on Windows instead.
Runs perfectly out of the box, no issues whatsoever.

Works out of the box without any tinkering

With stock Proton cinematics don't play. Using a community fork like Proton GE Custom fixes the issue.
Proton-7.0rc6-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Proton GE Custom is used in order for cinematics to play.
Once in my playthrough, the eyes' of the player character began flickering. It only happened once or twice.
I had played the game both from my internal drive and my external one. Both drives had saves. When I moved the game from my internal drive to the external one, older saves where appearing in-game instead of the newer ones I had made on the internal drive. The saves were not lost though, it appears to have been a prefix issue.
The game froze once. Audio still seemed to be playing, but game was unresponsive.
Only got an Error: System does not Support DirectX11
works fine out of the box played the whole game without any issues
Played through the main-game it runs perfectly with no issues.
- Tested with both keyboard+mouse and Xbox One controller.
Runs perfectly, would probably pass as native if whitelisted
The shadows were really strange, rendering right next to the player, maybe that's actually from the game but it was strange nonetheless.
Full game and extras work perfect without any tweaks
- Tested with a Steam Controller
- Tested with Mesa ACO compiler, didn't make any difference for this game though (you can enable it on compatible hardware and Mesa 19.3 with the launch option
RADV_PERFTEST=aco
)
Played through the full game with Proton and it works perfectly
Still works great with Proton 4.11-10, no changes
Works great with Proton
I played through the entire main story and did not experience any issues with cutscenes or with my Steam Controller.
Played the whole main story, no issues at all
Tested with a Steam Controller. Worked out of the box, played the main story, all of it worked without issue
Played for over 10 hours using Proton w/ Steam Controller with no issues
Game actually does **not** need mf-install, works out of the box like native
Used mf-install to get the game to work. Once installed, the game worked flawlessly. See here: https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install
Tested the game with a Steam Controller and it works perfectly fine.

Had zero issues from start to completion.

Worked out of the box. Setting the game to fullscreen and using Alt+Tab to tab out caused the game to go back to a small window (using KDE Plasma), however setting the game to use Borderless Fullscreen worked. I'm unsure if there's meant to be an intro video or not, but regardless one does not play. I tried using mf-install to no avail. Kind of annoying, but it's whatever. Initial tests suggest the game runs like native.

Runs without any issues, solid compatibility as if it was native

Works fine no problems

Running without issues using PS3 controller
