Enabled "Use Steam Runtime" from settings.

Runs perfectly out-of-the-box.
Some have reported having to force Proton Experimental, but that actually broke it for me. Steam defaulted to Steam Linux Runtime 1.0 (scout)
, which works perfectly.

👍🏽
there is no trick, only feeling. great rally game running perfectly as native
Runs flawlessly

i feel obligated to make this contribution because this game helped me survive my master's. it works perfectly, right out of the box. it looks beautiful on oled and you can put it on like 7-8/10 level graphics and have pretty much no slowdowns. beautiful game

12 W seems enough to get 90 FPS consistently
PERFECT

It's quite a nice, enjoyable game. Something that's quick to pick-up, play a round or two of career, and put down to keep playing later.
Limit TDP to 8 watts.
I have used Lutris to run the game from the Epic Games Store, as I do not own the game on steam, only epic (it was free around christmas 2023)

didn't had to make any tweaks and the game works perfectly using steam proton 8.0

Runs flawlessly on SD, can do 90 FPS on SD OLED. I've been playing exclusively on Steam Deck (first LCD and and now OLED).

Default setting has missing text, changed to Proton Experimental.

Make sure to select the non-DirectX12 launch option when the prompt appears. It's not any slower but often creates significant issues with textures/shaders.
From my playtime, running the game natively results in terrible framerates regardless of graphical settings. Using Proton effectively doubles the framerate, even on the highest graphics quality. Also be sure to select the non-DX12 launch option in the launch prompt.
In Korean language, font is not displayed at all
Native Linux version on Steam deck in Korean language display no text at all. If you change to Windows version, Korean text would be displayed.

The native version has very poor performance compared to running it on Proton. Also be sure to select the non-DX12 launch option when the prompt appears, it's not any slower but often creates issues with textures.
Platinum experience
I bought it, installed it and played it. Zero tinkering, zero bugs, zero performance issues.Since there's nothing to say about the Linux experience I'm gonna leave my game review.
It is far from being realistic, but it doesn't try to nor does it need to be. If you like rally and racing games this is a must try, it has all the elements of a top-notch rally game: a wide variety of cars, challenging scenarios, car damage, randomly generated tracks, moving spectators, and very good AI
The artstyle is so good I have screenshots as desktop background.

In native version, pausing would freeze the game.
Runs perfectly out of the box and has no issues whatsoever
Runs out of the box
I couldn't get DRI_PRIME=1 to work with the native version. Ran with Proton and it worked perfectly
Game got stuck loading the map on both Linux native and the Proton versions. Unable to play.
Native version runs better for me
Heavy Stuttering
While the Proton version worked better in the first Steam Release for me, nowadays I would only recommend the native version on Linux.
Runs out of the box like you'd expect
If the game runs native, it tends to cut off the screen output. Randomly during races, immediately when entering freeroam. It doesn't do that with Proton, so that's what I'm using.
(A user has just told me it works fine with Mesa 20.2.2 - I haven't tried downgrading yet.)
