Both native and proton run smoothly
But if you need install Chinese translation patch, you need to use the proton version.
In general, everything works fine out of the box!
Sometimes replicas are cutted, but maybe it is some general problems. Basically, it is not impacts overall experience.
A bit laggy on my machine, but it's playable.
Native does not work.
Use Proton.

I first started and ran the game using Proton Experimental. Sadly, sometimes when trying to enter the Inn in Gilded Vale I experienced crashes. I switched to Proton GE7-42 and the game ran well for some time.. Until I tried to assign companions to do random quests available in Caed Nua. Then it started crashing again every time I would press the Assign button. I switched again to Proton 5.13-6 this time and this seems to have fixed the problem.
Game works from start to finish.
I played through the whole 90 hour campaign without issue and I was able to export my save to Pillars II.
is good
Runs as native
Установил, принудительная звисимость Proton 7.0-1, запустил без проблем,лагов и зависаний всё время игры.

initially menus were offset, but after resolution toggle game ran fine.
Native version didnt run at all, had to enable proton, but that was the only thing that needed changing.

(GOG version) Works good
Played GOG version with Proton 7.0-1.
Had some strange interaction bugs with native linux version. I clicked to pick up some herbs, my character ran away from it, nearly half the map and then he picked it up. Running with proton experimental all is great.

Due to some engine funniness the Windows build is preferable to the native Linux build:
-Cloth Physics Work -Capes and Other Items are visible -Save compatibility with Windows
From what i can tell it runs Natively, and withe Proton perfectly fine.
Native and Proton work fine
Works fine native or proton. Note that save games can't be used between native and proton. Choose one and stick with it.
Native doesn't launch, Proton works fine
Out of the box, 6.3-4.
Native works fine, from what I could tell. The reason I decided to use Proton was because, apparently, cloud saves are not cross-platform from Windows.
The game runs great!
In the game settings, I had to turn off VSync. With VSync on, I get 1 FPS.

5.21-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Launching with " -force-d3d11" command line args may improve performance.
Game works out of the box (no customization needed) using Proton.
Sometimes the audio crackles / goes in and out.
I was experiencing frequent crashes and full-screen / window issues on the native version. Proton version runs much better, just some occasional audio issues for me.
Out of the box experience. Proton version runs better than native.

Game works native on Linux. On Proton it works out of the box. I installed manually D9VK and it worked as well fine with this DX9 to Vulkan translation, only some minor shadow glitches.

Game works native and on Proton out of the box. I installed manually D9VK and it worked as well fine with this DX9 to Vulkan translation, except for text rendering.

The native linux version would install but not run at all. It would just start and close instantly with no errors or explanations as to why. There are many complaints online about it. When forced to install through proton it runs perfectly though. It synced up to my windows saved games as well with no issues.

Runs flawlessly. Since the native Linux version has some limitations (3rd party middleware used for cloth simulation is not available under Linux, hence e.g. no capes are shown on the characters), this is one of the cases where the Windows version run using Proton feels more complete and immersive than the native Linux one.
