The game become slow when I play for a long period
some smoke effects are replaced by top level squares with a slight gray tinit
gamemoderun %command%
Works perfectly fine
Switched from native to proton
Native build did not launch at all. Something about "bad EXE" in logs. Works like expected after switching to Proton

Max setting, native res, FSR ultra quality, 90% locked 30 fps.
have to do a lot of tweaking with the steamdeck performance settings just to get the deck's fan to stop howling so loud, bad battery life
This game is very poorly optimized. It will tear through your battery charge if you stick with default settings, turn on TDP and set the battery wattage to about 6 or 8. Set the FPS down to 30 and use FSR.
Cutscene subtitles are customizable (i recommend 4x), text boxes are readable, but the tool tips and descriptions of attack effects in battle are very small, I had to squint to read the MP costs of spells.
I honestly have no idea why this game got a verfied check from Valve. I suppose it's because the game can run and probably be played to the end, but the readability on some UI elements are really bad, and the poor optimization basically kills the battery life and makes your fan very loud if you don't do some very meticulous tweaking of the performance settings.
Play this on a (strong) PC. The game as it is now is just not an ideal experience on the deck.

Fullscreen was blank. Running in windowed or borderless worked fine.
Playing with Mouse/Keyboard, before changing settings wine launcher settings, input was really unstable. Input appears to be great and responsive after framerates return to normal (50-60 fps on Low settings at 1600x900 windowed with my 1050Ti Max-Q).

The game may freeze while saving graphics settings. AMD FidelityFX - image may freeze, but main menu works.
Use GloriousEggroll proton-ge-custom, before installing the game.

Ran at a stable frame rate with very few issues.
Minor graphical glitches with character models in cut scenes. Clipping and distortion of body parts rarely.
Xbox one controller not detected with xpad neo via bluetooth. Worked fine after enabling steam input for xbox controllers. Did not test wired or official xbox one wireless dongle.
There were a problem with the input (kinda laggy). I don't know for sure if it was a problem with the game or my computer though. Using Proton 6.5 GE 2 everything works great

Can't get 30 fps (framerate between 15-20fps). Test native windows, it's 50-60fps avg with the same hardware and low settings.
Proton-6.10-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Proton-6.10-GE-1
Framerate between 15-20 fps
Works Out of the Box
Works with both controller and mouse/keyboard. Switching seemed fine.
The fps in this game are too low. I didn't find any possibility to get the fps aboth 25.
I get between 10 and 25 fps. Changing the Resultution and or graphical settings don't have a huge impact.
Works great out of the box, and controller input seems to work just fine as well.
Lower frames than usual, and some stuttering at times- but mostly worked flawlessly out of the box.
So far so good. An hour of playtime with no issues out of the box. Frame rate is solid and stable, no graphical glitches on my end.
Worked pretty much out of the box.
Some area's show slow loading textures, these load in as bright white area's with black outlines.

Will work until first boss fight will freeze afterward even making a save in windows in the next area freezes on proton

Game runs smooth right out of the box. Some lagging while field of view is loading new stuff (fractions of seconds), lagging while menu pops up (fractions of seconds up to 2 or 3 seconds). Could be because game still is in alpha. No tweaks tested to reduce lag.

Seems to run well, some graphics glitch but this game is still in alpha version.

The game engine require DXVK implementation of DirectX 11 to work correctly. WineD3D will fail to render correctly, and make the game unplayable. The last game update enable to close the game correctly without hanging, that once requires to Tab+Shift and force closing the game. On a Nvidia Optimus laptop requires to build the primus_vk library in order to render Vulkan on NVidia GPU, and play with: $ pvkrun %command%

Crash when quit, but work perfectly.

Had to force proton 4.2-2 to get a steam controller to work. Game gets choppy here and there, and can be a bit buggy during combat. Overall the game is playable, and the game itself is great.

Playable without issues, only crashes when trying to quit the game, but maybe that happens on Windows as well, haven't tested. Version 1.253

After the latest alpha of the game (version 1.221), it miraculously works with no major issues. Alt-tabbing (on Cinnamon) is not handled very great, though.

Game launches and ingame works. No problems found in menus or cutscenes. Graphics seem to work without issues. After finishing initial dialogue game no longer accepts any input. Also audio doesn't work, workarounds for that not tested.

It throws an error as it tries to launch. "Failed to initialize graphics."

Crashes after initial loading, none of the tweaks helped at all.
