Constant stuttering and sub-60 FPS
It works
Pressing Escape would change it back to being a small window
Seems to work perfectly
Finished one level with no issues
This game runs great on proton. No tweaks needed.
Ran relatively smoothly, given like 2 frames of choppiness upon first loading a level

Only opens a black window and plays music
Does not work with WINED3D either but instead of black window displays garbage.
installs but black screen when trying to load

I don't it just me but I am having issue with opening AVG game.
When I load the AVG game it only show the black screen and nothing else.I did try to change the proton version to 5.0-10 but did nothing to fix my problem. When I change the proton version to 5.0-10 It just won't load the AVG game at all.
Launch error without Wine D3D workaround
Runs Flawlessly. Game runs at 52-60 FPS. Both windowed and full screen mode work as intended. Logitech F310 gamepad worked out of the box.

Works pretty well. Although, fullscreen doesn't make the game full. The game crashes randomly when messing around with the screen options. Other than that, it's playable.

Can confirm controllers work (my DualShock 4 at least), & FPS is actually higher than on Windows, so it plays fine. However, AVGN Adventures' two fullscreen implementations are flawed & unstable. The game appears to use borderless windowed mode, but under Proton it never fully takes over the whole screen. Not only is the GNOME Shell top bar still present (something that can be done away with by 'Hide Top Bar' from GNOME Extensions), but it's literally just a maximised window with a titlebar.
Sometimes upon launching the game or changing screens/menus, you can get thrown back to a smaller windowed mode. The 'compat. mode' fullscreen option in particular is extremely unstable, resulting in incredible graphical glitches & game crashes on my system. This sucks, as the other fullscreen mode--simply 'full'--doesn't preserve the game's 16:9 aspect ratio in its upscaling on my ultrawide monitor (whereas the broken compat .mode could), it stretches. This can be circumvented by manually setting one's desktop resolution to the 16:9 equivalent of the monitor's ultrawide resolution.
Game crashes at startup, tried all environment variables and combinations. Proton 3.7-8 worked (except PS4 controller).

Game works and runs smoothly, PS4 controller doesn't work though.

Game does not save progress. Can't get full screen to work. Otherwise runs smooth, gamepad works.

Native controller support works if you use Big Picture. Full-screen seems sketchy at times, throwing you back to windowed. Other than this, perfect

Otherwise seems OK but controller button mapping is completely screwed -> unplayable and remapping (xb360 controller) doesn't help because buttons are not recognized. Keyboard controls work as expected. Audio might be a little loud, maybe even distorted but I cannot recall how it was in Windows/Wine so..

No controller support
