It runs on Linux

It can be played without much hassle.
The DE tends to freeze sometimes when starting and it leaves a black screen. It can be fixed by pressing Ctrl+Alt+F3 and using the "killall -l -gnome-shell" command.
If using Pipewire, the audio mapping issue can be solved by creating a virtual surround sink. I was able to play with satisfactory audio after I followed this tutorial: https://youtu.be/Dc4lSt_-_uw?si=bj8pH6flFGIGWOxK

Get it on sale to preserve/keep it to your Steam account, if not, use a Xbox 360 or PS3 emulator with a console copy of the game
Downloaded Unknownproject's Patch from Github
One button for ESC to go back and another for left click (mostly only to change settings)
Controller support is broken, missing the default bind file (having the binds be empty when launching the game.) Patch was the only way to fix it unless you don't mind keyboard prompts and using keyboard + mouse binds.
Even with patch and making a non-Steam game shortcut with the new game file, game was still locked at 30 FPS.
PC port itself is broken and has issues: launching the game natively or through the modded exe file didn't unlock the framerate. Attempted to %command% the exe file's location path, but would crash before it launches. Interesting enough, it is only required once to launch the patch's exe file to fix the resolutions and controller controls; after that you can launch from the basic game page.

Using [unknown patch] (https://github.com/unknownproject/Silent_Hill_Homecoming)
Some audio issues but nothing major
Play around with trackpad/joystick sensitivity, by default is too sensitive
The PC port itself is very bad, so it's playable in linux as much as it is on windows, but not great, had to switch to my PC for some boss fights as I never felt comfortable with a controller, playing with a proper mouse helped for some of the fights.

Game is buggy but plays better on Linux than Windows. With the patch you can unlock framerate (I played at 160Hz) and 21:9 res.
Unknownproject's Patch (Patch2.0_upd3_AiO_pt1.exe) from: https://github.com/unknownproject/Silent_Hill_Homecoming/
Sound effects and voice only come out of right headphone (this is an issue on Windows as well)
Not really but there is
Bad port, but at least this game running better on Linux than Window

Perfect gameplay, if you use alt tab i gets black screen forever i bet you can play it with a controller

Brightness slider doesn't work.

I can't save game

Runs great

Sound is buggy, but rated "Platinum" because it's at least as buggy in Windows.

Some hiccups that exists on windows version too, Xbox 360 gamepad works.

great performance, stable 30 fps with occasional stutter and fps dip, slider for display brightness doesn't work, display area for displaying map and inspecting objects are cut off on the bottom, to view part of the map that are cut off, you have to zoom in and scroll

Runs with native like performance and no glitches. Note the game has a bug when setting screen resolution, if you end up with no video you have to edit the file "/Silent Hill Homecoming/Engine/vars_pc.cfg" manually with the correct resolution. Note that this problem occurs on actual windows too.
