Works flawlessly OOTB.
Long live the Empire.

Support for the game needs to be added to the version of proton that is automatically used, as it stands now it is not plug and play. Requires users to be knowledgeable enough to find out which proton version works (7.0-6) and to go into the settings to change it. Higher versions trigger a vc runtime error
I'm glad it works at all honestly, and so well all things considered, but you shouldn't have to go BACK versions to get a game to launch.

All good!
Long Live the Emperor!

Ran just as fine as Windows, and I'm pretty sure I even got better loadtimes. Fair warning to people switching over from Windows: you will have to redo all your interface customizations and preferences except for, a surprise to be sure but a welcome one, keybinds.

I needed to install lib32-nvidia-utils; otherwise, the game launcher would display as a black window. After installing it, the game runs perfectly.

The only part that's bugging me is that I have to scroll through and accept the EULA every single time I launch the game. I have tried the supposed fix from the Reddit thread down below, stating you can work around this problem by manually adding the eula.settings file to the game's directory. This did not fix the issue for me. Maybe it works for someone else, though. Here is the link to the Reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/swtor/comments/17ni7h3/have_to_accept_eula_every_time_after_logging_in/

Works flawlessly.
The only issue I have is a known bug for the EULA, which I have to sign every time I login. Supposedly this can be fixed by downloading the non-Steam client but I have not tested that yet.

No issues with online functionality.
It used to freeze my system during dialogues but that seems to be gone now. Was able to play through the entire first planet in a session without encountering the same issue I had almost immediately upon starting the first few conversations.

Game does not launch due to dot net errors with Proton 9

I can not tell a difference between my windows machine and my linux machine. The game run s just as good as it does on windows.

swkotor.ini: under [Graphics Options] FullScreen=0 AllowWindowedMode=1
fixed with windowed mode

Works out of the box, no problems

No issues, plays excellent and can replace Windows
Running with Proton 8 and D11 allows this game to run as if it were Windows. No stuttering, no lag, no graphical glitches.
Works great
Works flawlessly out-of-the-box!

Game runs fine, but it asks for EULA agreement every single time I start it up. Reddit tells of a file overwrite that fix, but didn't try it

Minor crackling here and there, probably due to connection
Shift+6 doesn't work at all. Had to rebind my quickbar.
Game simply freezes during some conversation cutscenes. Checked CPU usage and it drops, indicating the game gave up responding.

tinkering only did minor improvements to an already well working game (slightly higher fps with gamemode and newer Proton installations)
stay on login screen forever

Out of the box, no issues
No problems with multiplayer at all
No launch options, no forced proton and nothing at all is needed here

Works perfectly

got stuck at endless Loading Screen
Because of my old Hardware I had to use a older proton version (otherwise a black window had started). I could log in but got stuck at a endless Loading screen
Logged in with a security key without problems. Ran 2560x1440 with max graphics settings, no tearing or glitches noticed.
Holocalls and other semi transparent graphics sometimes disappear

You must install Steam by downloading from steampowered.com. If you install via Snap this game will not get past the login screen.
As long as you downloaded Steam from steampowered.com and didn't use your distros package manager or Snap to install the game works perfectly. Installing Steam via Snap will get you stuck at the login screen.

MinspecVramCutoff=0 - I'll edit with more details when I get to my PC, look it up in the meantime. Basically, dynamic VRAM isn't detected appropriately so it forces low graphics even if you set high in settings.
Low poly and low quality effects without the Minspec fix

Runs out of the box. Just install and play!

FPS is rock solid, works like a dream, its like native, gaming experience is now better than it was on windows!!
