WINE_DO_NOT_CREATE_DXGI_DEVICE_MANAGER=1 gamescope -h 1080 -w 1920 -F fsr -- %command%
Fullscreen tries to stretch itself to fit the entire monitor, which causes the menu buttons to go outside of the monitor on aspect ratios that aren't 16:9.
If you are not on a 16:9 aspect ratio monitor, try the launch options I use. It will make the game run at 1920x1080, then upscale it to your monitor resolution with FSR1. If the game does not open in fullscreen upon launch, press Meta + f.
WINE_DO_NOT_CREATE_DXGI_DEVICE_MANAGER=1 %command% -screen-width 1920 -screen-height 1080
Buttons:
- A: Space (w/ Hold to Repeat)
- B: Escape
- X: Up Arrow (Open backlog)
- Y: Ctrl
- L4/L5: Space (w/ Hold to Repeat)
Left Trackpad as Directional Swipe with Up/Down binded to Up/Down arrow
Left Joysticks Up/Down binded to Up/Down arrow with Hold to Repeat
Game will force use the 16:10 ratio which cuts text, you need to set the launch options specified since setting the Game resolution + Set resolution for internal/external does not works completely.
On Steam Deck OLED Game mode with some adjustments:
- Game resolutions override: 1920x1080
- Set resolution for internal and external display: Yes

OP can play with GE-Proton7-43
Once the launch options and controller layout are set, the game works fine and I did not encounter any issues.

Set X and Y to scrolling, set arrow up and down for scrolling, set left arrow to E (to switch to english), right arrow to J (to switch to japanese)
Game does not seem to handle 16:10 aspect ratio very well. While reading it is fine, but some menus are cut off, buttons hidden at the edge of the screen, and saving beyond save 10 is impossible due to the arrows being outside of the screen. This issue is solved using the launch options and forcing the game to run at 720p 16:9 aspect ratio.
Nearly everything worked out of the box. in fact, I'm surprised it's "Unsupported" it should be marked "Playable" at least.

while the game did work @ 1280x800 The image was cut off around the edges.
So i had to force it to run @ a 16:9 resolution.
Under properties then it displayed correctly.
i.e. 720p or 1080p.
Sometimes but Very Very rarely it would crash at startup.
I mean it only happened to me about 3 times
Aside from the very rare crashes.
everything will work on the steam deck once you
Use the mentioned launch option.
Force it to run @ a 16:9 resolution.
Hit the "Set resolution for internal & external display" box under properties.
P.S. The version of proton used was 7.0.4

What doesn't work is just one video without launch options.
Failure to launch
Nothing happens when trying to launch game
No tinkering needed with Proton-6.21-GE-2. Have tested various codecs and various Proton 7 versions (Stable, Experimental Bleeding-Edge, GE), movie does not run.
Movies don't work on most Proton versions. I tried and GE-Proton7-9
and it worked!... But it was unwatchable. The resolution was messed up, like it was stretched beyond my monitor. Colors looked really weird.
I did not try other version of proton.
