Adjust button to KB/M shortcut
Using Vulkan(?) breaks the colorspace(?)/contrast of the game making it unplayable since I can't see anything properly, forcing it to use WineD3D makes the contrast more sane/correct.
Played on Deck OLED in Game Mode, Proton TKG 9.0.118372-20240909
Works Out-of-the-Box from v1.0.7
Bind a ton of buttons to what the VN support
In Game Mode, pressing Tab would sometimes lock Steam UI forcing a full restart
Playing in Game Mode at v1.0.7, most of the problem looks to be fixed since v1.0.6
Works Great, use Windowed Mode
Bind button to the VN supports
On Game Mode, using Fullscreen would sometimes broke Steam UI and break game unable to respond to control. Need to full restart Deck to fix it.
Played to completion on OLED in Game Mode, use the latest version of the game with Valve Proton works fine.
The previous report I've made said that pressing Tab would lock the game, but it turns out using Fullscreen breaks it so use Windowed mode if you experience this.
Works fine but some video is skipped
Left trackpad to Scroll Wheel, ABXY button to Continue, Back, Auto, and Skip. L1/R1 to Save/Load. Back buttons to Q.Save/Q.Load
TDP 7w
Text looks blurry sometimes
Video does not play/skipped
Played in Game Mode, some video got skipped because the usual WMV/WMA problems. Using Proton-GE doesn't fix it so staying with standard Proton is fine.
Works great out of the box
Rebinded ABXY to Continue, Back/Escape, Auto, and Skip mode. Back grip into Continue (L4/R4) and Quick Save/Load. Dpad/Left Joystick to scroll wheel/page up/down. Directional swipe on repeat for left trackpad to simulate scroll wheel. Trigger button to Save/Load, Select/Start to Backlog and Settings
Settings are way cramped with too much stuff that it became way too smal on Deck screen. Text has minimal border and looks blurry most of the time
If you install the R-18 patch, save game will reset everytime you wipe proton compat data. I also unable to use the save game I made on my Windows device (even if it has R-18 patch installed)
Played and tested on both Desktop and Game mode. Video works fine since patch 1.02 where they added webm version of it which allows proper playback.
I do not recommend playing with latest GE-Proton which somehow crash when playing back OP.
Map shortcut to gamepad, left trackpad as directional vertical scroll wheel, back buttons to Continue/Enter
Whenever "Animation" is playing like transition, FPS would drop and stutters until the animation stops.
Played with Deck OLED in Game Mode, the usual KiriKiri engine shenanigans so recommended playing with Proton GE if you want to be able to do video playback (OP, ED, and Boot Up Intro).
No protontricks needed, works fine without it.
protontricks 3027620 wmp11 quartz qasf
Map shortcut to gamepad, left trackpad as directional vertical scroll wheel, back buttons to Continue/Enter
Whenever "Animation" is playing like transition, FPS would drop and stutters until the animation stops.
OP and Intro video works fine but ED would softlock the game if you use Proton GE.
Install wmp11, quartz, and qasf with protontricks since this would just skip the whole ED and would not softlock the game.
Or just play with Valve Proton which would not play any video.

Buttons:
- A: Space (w/ Hold to Repeat)
- B: Escape
- X: Up Arrow (Open backlog)
- Y: Ctrl
- L4/L5: Space (w/ Hold to Repeat)
Left Trackpad as Directional Swipe with Up/Down binded to Up/Down arrow
Left Joysticks Up/Down binded to Up/Down arrow with Hold to Repeat
Game will force use the 16:10 ratio which cuts text, you need to set the launch options specified since setting the Game resolution + Set resolution for internal/external does not works completely.
On Steam Deck OLED Game mode with some adjustments:
- Game resolutions override: 1920x1080
- Set resolution for internal and external display: Yes
Works great
Rebinded ABXY to Continue, Back/Escape, Auto, and Skip mode. Back grip into Continue (L4/R4) and Quick Save/Load. Dpad/Left Joystick to scroll wheel/page up/down. Trigger button to Save/Load, Select/Start to Backlog and Setting
Video does not play out-of-the-box as with other VN that use KiriKiri engine
Proton 9.0-1 on Steam Deck OLED Game Mode.
Using protonfixes to install wmp11, quartz, qasf
Rebinded ABXY to Continue, Back/Escape, Auto, and Skip mode. Back grip into Continue (L4/R4) and Quick Save/Load. Dpad/Left Joystick to scroll wheel/page up/down. Directional swipe on repeat for left trackpad to simulate scroll wheel. Trigger button to Save/Load, Select/Start to Backlog and Setting
"Whispering" text are hard to read
Played on Steam Deck OLED in Game Mode. Game already run good enough with latest Proton without any tinkering.
The extra protonfixes tinkering allows you to playback OP/ED and other Video without any issues.

OP does not play and just show black screen (can be skipped)
Played on Steam Deck OLED in Game mode. In my gameplay, i encountered crash without using latest Proton GE when playing Karin route at specific scene.
Two other route (Eil and Kururu) are fine with Proton 9.0-1
Official Layout (Gamepad with Joystick)
Modification:
- Right trackpad as Mouse
- L2 button set to None
Long text will get a lot smaller
Flowchart "selected" route border is misaligned
FPS would drop when fast forwarding
- OP/ED will not play and will just show black screen and will be skipped automatically
- The backward button will "freeze" the game and goes backward until it reach the start of the chapter
Steam Deck OLED + Game mode | Proton 8.0-5
