Not a fun game, but runs just fine
Odd, grainy weirdness here and there. Nothing that ruins the game, but a bit weird.
Graphics are pretty meh for what I'm used to on my hardware
I didn't enjoy the game, but not because it has issues on Linux - it doesn't.
It did need the graphics settings turned down to "low" to perform well, but "low" still looks fine and after five minutes I forgot all about that.
Except for the poor graphic options, the game looks alright, but it's not optimized at all many fps drops just by looking around..
VK_ICD_FILENAMES=/usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/radeon_icd.i686.json:/usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/radeon_icd.x86_64.json WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR=1 WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR_MODE=quality WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR_STRENGTH=5 mangohud %command%
fps is unreliable, I can run at 144 fps at time and others at 20 fps..
The ingame FidelityFX upscale is the worst variant I've ever seen, it's makes the image so bad quality wise, I just can't use it, makes the image so low quality that it's not worth using..
I had to use the ProtonGE buildin fsr for better quality and sharpness, then what the game provided.. Missing fps lock slider, to limit fps as going over 60 fps doesn't really help much if it drops below 30 fps too often..
Cutscenes are in black. Overall gaming experience is playable.
Game got installed and launched with no issues. A black screen welcomes you and you need to press space bar to pass this screen. This issue seems to be present in all cutscenes so far, so it damages the game immersion. Despite this issue, game works great so far, I didn't face any other issue, not graphical, sound or with controls. There are some micro-lags now and then, but it doesn't affect the game experience at all.
performance is very bad and inconsistent. Restarted the game a couple of times and it was always different
sometimes character would just turn 90 degree without me doing anything with the mouse
graphic settings (especially fsr settings) can change performance drastically in very weird ways
I originally tried it with steams proton 8 which did work for me. I had to skip the sequenz when starting the game (with spacebar) because it just showed me a black screen. Also one of the sequenzes at the beginning of the story did just show as a black screen. Before I began playing I switched to GE-Proton8-3. I noticed that lowering my graphics settings didn't give me better fps, in fact it made it WAY worse. After tinkering around with the settings I found that preset high and fsr set to balanced ran pretty well for me (60-100 fps with some lags). After playing for a couple of minutes I decided to try some different proton versions if the initial video would run on any of them. But after that my game would not run with more than 10 fps no matter which graphics setings I choose. The only one giving me slightly more fps (like 30+) is fsr on ultra performance which looks like 360p. I don't know if I was lucky that it worked the first time I played, but if I can't get it at least back to how it initially was (with some stutters and fps drops and weird input lags) I can't really play
