Крайне рекомендую посмотреть ролик https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5Dc6YRnmBk&t=229s Данный ролик отсылает к руководству из сообщества Steam https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2166039806

I tried many methods from switching all proton layers all the way to down to Proton 7 and no such luck. so i fired up ProtonQT, installed GE-Proton 9-10 and booted up and it just worked. I was playing the game the way the others mentioned which was changing the Testapp.exe but the colors looked so washed out and muddy.

MANGOHUD_CONFIG="fps_limit=60,no_display" mangohud %command%
- Install mangohud for your distro
- Install Manhunt through Steam
- Go into Manhunt folder and rename manhunt.exe to manhunt.exe.old
- Rename testapp.exe into manhunt.exe
- Go to Steam>Manhunt>Compatibility>General>Launch Options
- MANGOHUD_CONFIG="fps_limit=60,no_display" mangohud %command%
- (Optional) If the defalt Steam Proton version does not work try a custom proton version from Glorious Eggroll, latest tested with this fix was 9.7. https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/releases 7.Enjoy the game

Game is not playable until the 60 FPS fix is applied and testapp.exe is renamed into manhunt.exe
Game is not playable until the 60 FPS fix is applied and testapp.exe is renamed into manhunt.exe
The game works as long as it is limited to 60 FPS an testapp.exe is renamed to manahunt.exe and the original manhunt.exe is renamed to manhunt.exe.old

Game requires ermaccer/Manhunt.Fixer.
TDP 3W, GPU Clock 200mhz, Half Rate Shading
Resolution must be picked in a config window using touchscreen.
Game runs at smooth 60FPS. Battery life measured 6.5-7+ hours.

NOTE: any crashes/gamebreaking bugs are not due to linux incompatibilities but are instead due to rockstar forgetting to patch out their anti piracy protection from the steam release, this is not a issue exclusive to linux.
With that said, the said issues can be easily circumvented with fan made patches, i used the one here, installing it through protontricks: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2166039806
After installing the patch the game works perfectly without any issues or crashes.
When you startup the game it shows you a settings window, you will have to select play using the touchpad.
when playing with keyboard and mouse moving the camera felt a little jittery, unsure if its a issue on my part or with the game, works perfectly on controller though.
Any issues about the game crashing or not being able to get past the tutorial because of closed gates is caused by rockstar not removing the crack protection from the steam releasle forcing fans to once again patch the issues out themselves.

I followed the manual steps found here:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2166039806
- Execute the patch (I used protontricks for that)
- Use the Widescreen Fix
- D3D8 Wrapper - Skip this one (according to PCGamingWiki)
- Execute the Audio Fix
While using the steps mentionned above (in the protontricks), I have not experienced any crashes so far and I have played about 3 hours with this setup.
The game crashes constantly, had a game breaking bug in the first few minutes, and the controls don't work.
Game crashes every few minutes
Game breaking bug in the first 5 minutes that blocks you from progressing through the game.
You need to do some serious tinkering if you want to try to play this game.
The game has a config menu outside the game but the game crashes after this point
The game crashes after a few minutes and the official layout made by Rockstar North does not work.
Used touchscreen
Crashes after a few minutes
Rockstar pls fix :)
The game keeps crashing, I can't get past the tutorial.
Nothing to do with Proton, but I find it laughable that a console port doesn't have controller support.

looping
requires a patched install, can be found on steam but is also made to patch a windows system, so kinda of anouying on a steam deck
Even after using the community fix, game will crash every time you die.
use an emulator
As previous comment says, game crashes once you've played for so long
With Rockstar's recommended settings being a gamepad (which Manhunt doesn't support,) not worth fixing/tinkering in my opinion.
secondary launch window could only be controled with touch screen
Game crashes every 5-10 mins, I can't get passed through tutorial

Game crashed every 10 minutes
- Need to start the game in 800x600, the other resolutions did not work in full screen for me
- I needed to patch the game by running exepatch.exe with wine (fix that I have found on a steam page)
Once the game has been patched, it is playable.
Game would run between 15~20 fps

When window was expanded, gameplay remained in the top left corner
Constant movement
I had to enable game once in 800x600, and on second run switch to 1920x1080 because it wouldn't go to fullsceen without it
made backup of "manhunt.exe" and then renamed "testapp.exe" to "manhunt.exe"
runs in small window unless you use a 4:3 resolution

Before starting the game go to your install folder and backup "manhunt.exe" then rename "testapp.exe" to "manhunt.exe", this should stop the game from crashing. The game does not support wide screen resolutions, choose a 4:3 one, other resolutions may stretch the image or make the game run in a small window. Everything worked perfectly after that, completed the whole game.

Update on the performance and other bugs for Manhunt.
I mentioned in my last report that Manhunt had the potential of crashing when you preformed certain actions 10 seconds to a minute after preforming them.
I also forgot to add that picking up items would cause the game to freeze and crash.
However, installing this patch for Manhunt (assuming you run the Steam version: https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/540-manhunt-steam-fix/) removes all of this and makes the game fully operational.
Just be aware that your controls hold the potential of locking up and some controls not responding. I suggest remapping all of your controls to the controls already in use or to what you want. It's not required but it can be helpful in preventing certain controls locking up.

I added no tweaks whatsoever to Manhunt.
The game runs well and at a silky 60fps roughly but the hair pulling part is that the game crashes 1 minute after an action or if an action isn't preformed in time.
The gates in Born Again, the first level you start on, have an even bigger chance of being permanently shut if you don't go through them in time. You'll be forced to run through and take on the hunter that's about to go through the gate, which drains a lot of your health.
Some controls need to be mapped twice in order for them to work. Do this before play.
So far there isn't a way to get past the fact the gates become permanently shut in every game session and the fact that the game crashes on occasions yet but I'm certain that Proton might get a fix for this.

It wouldn't work full screen at first until I rebooted. I also had a controller plugged in, so the game ignored the mouse inputs for some reason. Once I unplugged the controller and rebooted, it worked a treat.

Wont launch in fullscreen. Game itself runs flawlessly.

At first I encountered a bug which prevented me from passing a gate in the tutorial area. This is a known bug which also impacts many Windows users. The problem went away after I replaced manhunt.exe with a patched executable found here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/12130/discussions/0/828939978361803059/ The game now runs flawlessly.

Can't get past gate in Born Again

Works great

If you can't get it to launch in fullscreen mode after you changed it to widescreen in the options: select a different resolution in the launcher, launch the game, quit it and launch it again with your native resolution.

On first launch fullscreen didn't work properly but after enabling widescreen and relaunching it did
