Crashes before the main menu
It used to work months ago, tried relaunching today, but it just won't work. It crashed after the loading screen, before reaching the main menu. Tried switching to Proton Experimental and Hotfix with no luck.

Heroic Launcher -> Settings -> Advanced -> EOS Overlay (Enable) Use Experimental Proton
Will not start without EOS

Epic install, but cannot start
I've tried a few startup options and older proton from successful reports on this page but none worked. I've tried with vanilla wine as well without success.

On Heroic, you should enable EOS Overlay in order to launch.

Heroic Launcher -> Settings -> Advanced -> EOS Overlay (Enable) Use UMU as Proton Runtime (Enable)
A few changes in the Heroic Launcher settings got it working. It would crash on startup without tinkering. It's currently free on Epic Game Store, so worth picking up.

Installed from Epic. Unable to launch. Flashed a black screen.
Tried with multiple versions of Proton, multiple suggested arguments and settings. Nothing worked.

Doesn't work
The game didn't launch. I tried some specific versions of Proton, I also tried Lutris, but I didn't fetch anything.
Tested with both my desktop and laptop, worked just great OOTB

every time i try to open the encyclopedia, the game crashes, sometimes requiring a hard reboot.

gamemoderun %command% PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1
Some lag and desync issues, but those are normal for my network
launching without the gamemoderun launch options, it is unstable, and crashes frequently

It stutters more than on Windows 10 on the same system
The game will frequently freeze, requiring a hard shutdown of the system. It happens randomly. Sometimes within 5 minutes of starting the game, sometimes an hour or two into playing. It seems to be exacerbated by tabbing in and out of the game. I've tested with Proton Experimental (the recommended default), Proton Hotfix, Proton 8.0-5, and Proton 7.0-6, but the issue persists.
Running on Nvidia GTX 1650 nvidia-driver-535
Works out of the box very well. I played many hours now, no problems so far.

Enheduanna Update breaks compatibility
Tried all the standard tricks, but with the update installed I can't interact with any buttons. Impossible to start a game, let alone play one.
Works perfectly out of the box
Works perfectly out-of-the-box

No issues at all out of the box

Works out of the box.
No tinkering needed here.
Works perfectly fine

On the default Proton version, it launches but crashes to desktop when attempting to load the main menu.
Everything worked, including multiplayer, Steam invites, and reloading multiplayer saves
Works perfectly out of the box, max graphics 1440p locked at 60 FPS, played 4 sessions x 3h each, no bugs, what an incredible game!
Works really great out of the box!

Some people might have a better time forcing the game to run in Vulkan using -force-vulkan in the launch options (ideally this would be the best option). Unfortunately it's a single core game (because Unity) so shader compilation will take absurdly long and is probably not worth the wait. If there's any way to somehow compile the shaders in multicore that would be great

Funcionou perfeitamente com proton 8.0.3
jogo está perfeito

Doesn't even launch
Not even with suggested launchoptions

On Linux, I played Humankind, as of now, for over 60 hours. The multiplayer experience was enjoyable and there were no issues whatsoever (I played online with friends who are using Windows).
In the Empire Overview screen, the star requirements are rendering on top of one another, making them impossible to read. Appears to only affect the neolithic era.
Runs without issues.
Runs without issues. Some bugs present (like null text) but the same exist under windows.
Unplayable, wait for updates.
