Worked basically out of the box, some setup may be required depending on wheel but the game has good rebinding support
For Thrustmaster T150 I used this driver: https://github.com/scarburato/t150_driver/ - ACC allowed me to rebind every axis and button just fine, and it had working FFB support
The native game had weird shader/visual glitches that are not present when using proton, it also runs a little smoother for me than native
4.21-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
installing dotnet45 was all that was required for the game to launch and play
Skip the native version - latest proton (with proton battleye runtime installed) simply launches and plays online matches fine
For me, on AMD and latest proton it started and ran fine, minus the controller/wheel issues
Thrustmaster T150: have to install a driver first (https://github.com/scarburato/t150_driver/), though it works in many other racing games f1 refuses to detect any wheel, and the way the input profiles works means you can't just assign the axis, for me I was completely unable to use a wheel, keyboard and controller worked fine though
Only issue is the typical, infrequent bug with unity games where your input gets a little messed up, fixed with a quick alt tab or opening the pause menu, otherwise seems to run fine out the box
Loaded up, went through some settings, downloaded a scenario, started the scenario, submitted score at the end, all works fine
started up okay, doesn't run as good as windows, a little stuttery, but have not encountered any major issues, seems to work fine with a controller too
after switching from solus (my silver rating) to arch there is now no real issues aside from just a little lower fps, otherwise runs just fine without any tweaks
Hangs on some color based pre splash screen/intro video, never make it to menu
Unlike every other report here, for whatever reason, EAC starts up fine and I get to what is some kind of video/splash screen but it just displays some colors and hangs there infinitely, never progress past this, no audio or interaction with the game at all
Once the video files are taken care of, game seems to run fine, even having the linux EAC (I think) is a nice surprise
Getting the game to launch seems to be a lot easier if you delete all of the video files in The Cycle Playtest/Prospect/Content/Movies/
, without these videos I was able to play just fine
