Game itself runs near flawless. Video playback (track selection screen) will sometimes show placeholder instead of videos
Installed boxflat and compiled PIDFF to enable force feedback on moza
Moza setup not wokring out of the box. Install boxflat for input, PIDFF for FF. Could not get telemtry working so far
Must install drivers for your input steering wheel (boxflat is dead easy for moza), force feedback (PIDFF is not hard but more involved). I could not compile/install monocoque for telemetry (rpm indicators) yet

gamemoderun gamescope -w 3840 -h 2160 -f -- %command%
Works great, 4K, max settings, no problems

It runs smooth but I `m getting much lower fps compared to windows 11
Using VRS wheelbase and VRS pedals, FFB works

Works wonderfully with proton experimental, no tinkering required, runs super well, no bugs, nothing. amazing

Very smooth installation and playing experience
Occasional full video dropouts
Worked perfectly

Working great with G920 wheel and pedals
Perfect experience. I'll be playing the whole game on Linux

Works out of box
Runs pretty much 165 fps(capped to refresh rate) with max settings 1440p. Logitech 920 works out of box also. Only had to adjust steering wheel rotation to 360 with "oversteer --range 360" as the ingame option for rotation didn't seem to do anything.
Some small Lag Spikes (maybe network)

Works well with Proton and Logitech G29
It works but I had to setup the correct axis for the pedals on my G29. Leds on the steering wheel don't seem to work.
Everything works as on windows

Works perfectly, had nothing to do for my G25 to be recognised

do not use -dx12 because of that i couldn't play with my saved controller settings after quitting the game and the dash screen will be blank

It will crash after show FMOD below's Screen and crash

Läuft einfach!

The game runs basically out of the box, a few minor issues but nothing that makes the game unplayable.
After playing for a while (an hour or so) the performance seems to decrease a bit, but nothing too impactful.

I simply have steam set to use proton experimental, and worked out of the box, no tinkering required

Works mostly well out of the box, but sometimes performance decreases over time
After running 1-hour sessions in a league I noticed occasional performance issues. Mostly it's all good, but sometimes I get a series of little freezes that lasts for 5-10 minutes. That negatively affects my ability to drive consistently in online races. Usually it comes back to normal, but nothing guarantees good performance over the whole play session.
Works out of the box with FFB if the wheel's driver is installed

Occasionally drops frames which requires a restart of the game to return to a stable framerate. It goes from 200fps down to 5-10 fps and only resolves after restart. This happens after 1-3 races and in multiplayer can happen after placements.

Use proton-ge for video support
cant start this game on nobara, i use to play it on linuxmint

Flawless
Currently running Proton 8.0-5 without issues. I am using a Logitech G27 wheel with the https://github.com/berarma/new-lg4ff and https://github.com/berarma/oversteer driver and companion tool respectively. The game correctly identifies the wheel, but the buttons and pedals must be configured in the game settings to work properly.

artifacting when in fullscreen, window mode (Alt+Enter REQUIRED!) works.

Apart from having to remap controllers (a common issue in most racing/simulation titles) the game itself worked perfectly.
Logitech G29 was not detected as a logitech device, but it was detected as a generic controller. After mapping the buttons/axis manually it worked fine. FFB also works without any additional tinkering.
If having problems with this device (Logitech g29), I can recommend debugging it with jstest-gtk

Works out-of-the-box on Intel Arc 770
Runs well even @ 4k on Arc 770
Tested on mesa v23.2.1 and v23.3.1
G29 racewheel works out-of-the-box as well. Put switch on the wheel to PS3 mode and invert axis for clutch, break and gas in ACC settings.

Not able to enter any race in VR
Menus work (including showing the cars being selected in the VR view, etc.), but as soon as I enter a race one of two things happen:
- the game crashes immediately, and SteamVR shortly after or
- the game freezes and, after two minutes, Unreal Engine crashes with a message stating "GameThread timed out waiting for RenderThread after 120.00 secs".
In the first case, dmesg
includes errors such as:
NVRM: Xid (PCI:0000:2d:00): 13, pid='<unknown>', name=<unknown>, Graphics Exception on GPC 0: 2D KIND Violation. Coordinates: (0x0, 0x0)
This issue persists with all Proton and SteamVR versions I was able to try. I found similar reports in a github issue, but that issue was fixed by Proton 5.13.
(This only happens in VR, game runs correctly when playing on a monitor)

gamemoderun PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 %command%
Game sometimes won't launch (after system updates?). Haven't figured out the pattern, but it works again after a while, might have something to do with NixOS garbage collection.

PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 mangohud %command%
In single player everything was/is fine with over 100fps. However going into online and I only had 12 - 29 fps, with extrem stutters.
The issue was solved after a 1GB Shader-Pre-Caching-Update and it now works perfectly in online with 60fps capped, default graphic settings, 100% gpu usage
See my other notes
NVAPI is required to use Nvidia DLSS/Amd FSS
An excellent game that runs perfectly on linux and proton. Highly recommend!
Had some lag when playing online through a server, but this was likely due to my internet connection.
gamemoderun %command%
I have a Logitech G923 (PS4/PC) which is currently unsuported by linux. If you have this wheel you should install this module from https://github.com/berarma/new-lg4ff, reboot and you should have support for the G923 after that is good to go.
I'm able to play this game perfectly, but as soon as I jumpped into a car with multile rearview mirror options the game ran at around 15FPS. I had this issue until I switch over the Proton GE version

CryoUtilities: 16GB swap, 1 swappiness, huge pages, VRam 4GB
X upshift, A downshift, disable gyro
many of the right side descriptions are pretty small. Menus however are fine.
Every 5min or so the audio stops completetely for a few seconds, then gets back wit no problems.
No problem during pracrive but struggles with a full grid of cars. Reducing grafical settings reduces the issue drastically
Sometimes it crashes few seconds after start driving. Also had an issue where it would not start anymore and failed to recover. Starting from Desktop Mode fixed the issue.
I am honestly surprised how well it runs. This is a state of the art racing Sim on the Steamdeck!

To get working steering wheel in game, install Steering Wheel Manager - Oversteer.
