Limiting the FPS to 30 or less is a good idea if you want to conserve battery life
Going into desktop mode is required for file manipulation (if you've played the game, you know what I mean.)
Online doesn't work, unfortunately. Adding linux support is so easy for battleye, and they just won't. Otherwise runs stable 60fps easily.

Raytracing actually works on the deck, surprisingly
Should probably be deck verified tbh. Probably works with other proton layers but I haven't tested them. Experiemental works fine.
The fixed layout is still scuffed and button prompts do not appear, instead keyboard keys. If you got used to and memorised the inputs it would be playable, but certainly not an enjoyable experience.
Still needs steam controller support to be playable

40Hz limit, scaling 100%, render quality at medium (Medium can be played at 50-60fps comfortably with the Performance Mod by CoolJWB https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2419552682, but fps drops should be expected when destroying stuff. also expect less battery life if you decide to cap your fps at 60.)
FSR set to sharpness 1 and VibrantDeck at 125 is optional, but looks good IMO.

Limit/lock FPS to 60, as gameplay speed is directly bound to frame rate.
thcrap auto-updater can be disabled if you want to play offline without it having to check for updates.
Get thcrap (Touhou Community Reliant Auto Patcher) for translations.
