No issues
only issue during gameplay was one cg with multiple assets (in this case, a talking asset, where the character's mouth moves) was glitched/off center in an ending and i have not seen this in the pc/ps4 versions of the game. other than this, game ran great.
If playing on Steam Deck— I would recommend remapping the SHIFT key to be activated just by touching the joystick instead of having to hold R3 to use SHIFT.
At the end of every chapter there is a video that cannot render/appears as an error screen. I still consider this a minor issue as the videos add nothing major to the experience but if you want to see them then it's best not to play on this.
game worked as expected, started and finished with no issues.
ending 3's credits video does not play on default settings, and i have not yet figured out how to make it work. other than this though, game works well, and other videos (like the opening and ending 1) play perfectly.
For some reason the title screen appears blank on Proton until beating the game (where the title screen art changes).
During both minigrames later in the game, the screen flickers immensely and may be a problem for those with epilepsy.
There are an array of animations throughout the game that can range anywhere from 1-7 minutes that Proton will not play. It will simply skip over these videos, even after the section to view these animations is unlocked. These animations provide context for the game plot, and so the player is missing vital information by missing these.
Text in textboxes will appear onscreen very laggy at times.
Worked flawlessly, if you're okay with reading very small text then playing on Deck is no problem.
In general the font is extremely small on Steam Deck as this is meant to be played on an actual computer. Occasionally some text is blurry.
In my ~14 hours of playing, the game stalled twice (music still played and characters blinked, but no matter if I pressed the A button or tapped the screen I could not proceed) and refused to take inputs three times (when presented with a choice, despite pressing A or tapping the screen it would not register that anything was happening. To solve both of these problems I had to turn the game back off and then turn it back on. I don't know if this is because I was playing via Proton or a fault of the game itself but I figure this is worth mentioning.
Works flawlessly save for being unable to input a name at the start with the deck's keyboard
Could not get the game to register the Steam Deck's keyboard at the start, typing yielded no results. Had to start the game on my PC, change my name on there, exit, then use the steam cloud to get that save file onto my Deck and play that
Good game, basically flawless on Steam Deck save for a small but persistent graphical issue.
Occassionally a thin bar at the bottom of the screen will carry over from scene to scene (ex: the background or cg changes, but the thin bar at the bottom will show a silver of the previous screen still), and is only removed by restarting the game or through a screenwipe--- I don't know what gets this to trigger.
didn't need to mess with anything, everything played as it should
Textures often flicker and in some cases disappear if standing a bit far away. Included but not limited to: Numbers on doors, papers on desks/floors, text on slabs in the epilogue, photos and posters on walls/desks/in the memory zone.
as stated, the game will crash at any random point, i couldn't find how this was triggered. mitigated by saving often.
If you try to play this on the current version, it will crash every 5 minutes or so, no exaggeration.
