The new Unity version works perfectly
Recent update brought the game over to Unity and has seemingly fixed most older issues people were reporting. works perfectly fine out of the box
Fullscreen is entirely black, seemingly no fix possible. I hesitate to deduct points for this though since I couldn't get fullscreen working on Windows, either (over there the game goes past the bounds of my monitor).
The game window starts entirely black, save for the options at the top. Entering fullscreen and then just exiting it seems to fix it.
Blackscreen
High CPU usage
Fullscreen was initially broken. By disabling the compositor (in KDE: Shift+Alt+F12) everything worked fine. Alternatively the game can be played in windowed mode if you lower the selected resolution.
Fullscreen results in black screen
Mouse hover, click often didn't register. It might take 20-40 seconds before I'm able to click
Seems like the game is stuck on one thread or something among those lines
Game freezes completely after starting
Game is completely unplayable. I tried proton (default), an older proton, proton-GE and experimental, all failed with the same issue(s)
Although considering CPU usage and windowing problems, running this game with open-source krkrsdl2 maybe a better idea...
xinput list --name-only | grep ^xwayland-pointer-gestures | xargs -n1 xinput disable
to bypass wine bug #53114
The window gets extremely small when switching workspace in GNOME (Wayland)
Eats ~300% CPU
Good game, basically flawless on Steam Deck save for a small but persistent graphical issue.
Occassionally a thin bar at the bottom of the screen will carry over from scene to scene (ex: the background or cg changes, but the thin bar at the bottom will show a silver of the previous screen still), and is only removed by restarting the game or through a screenwipe--- I don't know what gets this to trigger.
Distro: Fedora. Installed Gamescope via package manager and used launch flag gamescope -f -w 1920 -h 1080 -- gamemoderun WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR=1 MANGOHUD=1 %command%
for full screen to work.
Need Gamescope compositor for full screen to work (muttar from Gnome 41 causes black screen in full screen)
Fullscreen does not work, giving a black screen. Changing the view to windowed, and then changing the resolution to one smaller than the default one makes the game display.
The game has unusually high CPU usage!
Worked with Proton 6.3, but experienced high CPU usage and fullscreen didn't work
If you get stuck with a black screen, your game might be automatically starting in fullscreen. Fullscreen didn't work for me, but I was able to switch it to windowed mode with ALT + Enter
90-100% CPU usage on the title screen, 70%ish during gameplay
Crashes on launch :(
Fullscreen doesn't work and the audio is a bit choppy at times.
Game crashes as soon as it opens.
