Game starts then immediately crashes without a menu showing
Ge-Proton-7.50
Sad that they won't think of the deck or Proton players who want to play and are willing to pay for the game
Starts up says running - never opens.
Borked apparently. Going to see if Lutris can raise it from the dead.
The launcher CSS is borked, but who cares? I can play the game!
Needs options: PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=90 %command% - but plays falwlessly
New update from 11-29-2022 kills the game. 477 hours of playing time here
They broke it after delivering an update for minor annoyances - it won't play - no matter what you do. Seems that some smart ass on their forum is buys giving us all the middle finger as well because we don't play on Windows.
Needs the input: PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=90 %command% to run - but works with Proton 5.0.1 now!
game requires d3d11, but recent update borked the game completely. CI support said "oh well, not designed to run on Linux". Had played all the way to the Altai mountains, but now it just overloads CPU and locks up about 5 seconds into a level. have tried every workaround I can think of. Proton eggroll included, but that gives a black screen whereas regular proton at least shows the level before it completely locks up when player moves and CPU cores get way overloaded. Not sure what else to do, disappointing.
Tried it with Lutris and Proton eggroll - no joy there.
System locks when player moves in 1.05 update.
System locks up completely.
Borked as of patch 1.0.5
Don't expect help from CI support - they don't understand Wine or Proton even with logs.
Using Lutris, actually able to make this work. Not sure what is so different than Proton other than using WINE Steam in Lutris to make this work. However, this works flawlessly even WITH EAC in game - though I am not using Multiplayer at all.
Wine-steam in Lutris. It works flawlessly for me.
Goes to loading, never progresses from there
No amount of tinkering made a difference. Sad.
Does not work in Ubuntu, Pop!_OS or Manjaro
Starting then crashes and will not run.
