Works really good. Cryengine does perform great even on Laptop hardware with iGPU. Ive used -vulkan Launch Options but am not sure if they even have any effect. Besides that no tinkering needed.
One minooooooor bug: If you use multiple monitors but dont play on Monitor No. 1 (like in: I got 3 monitors, Monitor 1 is on the left but move the Game to Monitor 2 in the middle via SUPER+SHIFT+Arrow Keys) than the Mouse is not working in the Menu and is not "catched". Ive solved this by setting Monitor 2 as Primary in Gnome Display Settings.
Great game - lot of fun. Highly Recommend getting it on sale for $1-3 and play it threw.

Fix was to delete files from EasyAntiCheat folder inside game path then run file validation then delete the setup.exe
Installed, ran and played smoothly.

Good performance using latest stable proton...
Previously on steam selecting latest proton game was not running but after full steam reinstall game works fine.
An update 6 days ago has caused SGWC to need EAC at all times. The game is now borked. Gets stuck at an EAC loading screen.
Further testing is recommended, possible launch without EAC? I couldn't get it to work, but I recommend looking into this: https://steamcommunity.com/app/973580/discussions/0/2576571096291650565/
Works fine despite not opening achievements
I've noticed it's a problem with a few games, that the achievements do not unlock on Proton. This is one of those games. Otherwise the game has no problems.
Black screen on start, no sound, nothing
Tried multiple proton versions, tried multiple GE proton versions. Nothing works.
I could not start the game from Steam, but using Lutris like LastGasp worked.
Runs flawlessly for single player campaign
When I close the game, it keeps running and I have to Stop it in the Steam Library. That prevents the game to start again if I need to.
Funciona perfecto.
Mouse cursor is no longer an issue with the GOG release. Not much else to say this game plays flawlessly w/ Esync & DXVK enabled.
Using Lutris, actually able to make this work. Not sure what is so different than Proton other than using WINE Steam in Lutris to make this work. However, this works flawlessly even WITH EAC in game - though I am not using Multiplayer at all.

game requires d3d11, but recent update borked the game completely. CI support said "oh well, not designed to run on Linux". Had played all the way to the Altai mountains, but now it just overloads CPU and locks up about 5 seconds into a level. have tried every workaround I can think of. Proton eggroll included, but that gives a black screen whereas regular proton at least shows the level before it completely locks up when player moves and CPU cores get way overloaded. Not sure what else to do, disappointing.

Don't expect help from CI support - they don't understand Wine or Proton even with logs.
Cranked up settings & played flawlessly! Mouse cursors always on screen -- also effects the Windows GOG release. Nothing to do w/*nix :)
