Sometimes after alt+tabbing from full-screen and returning to the game, it changes to windowed mode. The solution is to go to Settings and check the full-screen option again.
Have no tried matchmaking, but coop worked fine out of the box.
Other than the bug mentioned, I found 0 issues. Wololo!
The game runs almost perfectly out of the box. You don't longer need the Unix Arma launcher
When on a server and there is way too many shots being fired at the sam (A-10 "brrt", cluster bombs, etc), the audio starts to crack and some audio starts to be missing.
The game crashes after 3 or 4 hours on BattleEye servers
Parameters and settings used in the Arma 3 launcher are not saved
To play on BattleEye protected servers, you need to install Proton BattleEye runtime (Steam > Library > just above the search bar, click "Games" and select "Tools" > Search and install Proton BattleEye Runtime > Change back "Tools" to "Games"), and then just enable BattleEye on the Arma 3 Launcher
The game worked just as well with with standar, non-experimental Proton
The game works perfectly out of the box.
The final map suffers from async while playing online coop. Seems to be a problem with the game, not related with Proton or Linux in general. Letting this as a note just in case
Crashes loading 2nd mission. You cannot play campaign past that
Always crashes loading 2 mission. No way (as far as I know) to bypass the mission, so it's impossible to continue the campaign
Other than the Alt+tab thing, the game runs perfectyl fine out of the box
When you Alt+Tab, there's a ~50% chance that you won't be able to fully fullscreen back untill your restart the game
Game didn't launch at all. Tried several Proton version, and still nope
When you click launch, a black screen window appears, but it inmediately crashes.
Main menu is bugged, no way to select any option inside the menu, neither with keyboard nor mouse

Matchmaking works perfectly fine out of the box
Fully recommended.
Game requires Microsoft account, but had no troubles with that.
You may need to install Proton EasyAntiCheat Runtime from Steam to be able to play matchmaking.
I had 0 issues with local play, online coop and online matchmaking.

Fullscreen works perfect, but windowed doesn't adjust screen size to KDE task bar
The game runs perfectly out of the box in fullscreen. For windowed mode, the KDE task bar blocks a bit of the game's image. Perhaps can be solved/tinkered about, but I did not try, my personal preference is fullscreen, and it works flawlessly
