Run on proton, not native
The native version has significant performance issues—I was getting only 20 FPS in the main menu. After switching to Proton (9.0-4), the performance improved significantly. The only issue I noticed is that after Alt-tabbing, the screen goes black, and the game requires a restart. However, this might be a Wayland issue
The game seems to launch slightly faster with Proton Experimental. No gameplay differences though.
Perfect out of the box
The game run flawlessly out of the box without any tinkering
I recommend to use keyboard and mouse for this game, it doesn't have gamepad support and I couldn't get used to control the mouse with right joystick or touchpad. But this could be only my problem, the game alone runs very well.
Runs OOTB with a few issues
Game runs at 30 FPS at all times and goes down to low 20s sometimes when doing executions.
Game sometimes freezes, which is fixed by alt+tabbing and going back to the game.

This game looks and runs just fine with default to ultra graphics but the controls do not work with any template/recommended or community layout.
The selected game has published a native Linux version! Please be sure you have not inadvertently run the game natively.
I used Key/B and Mouse Only.
Does not work with Proton, so use native version without controller
After trying the latest Proton and Proton-GE, I got a black screen at the main menu and had to force quit the game.
If using the native version, I could not get any controllers to work (Xbox 360, Xbox One, Steam Controller) and had to use a mouse and keyboard to play. If you can play the game with a KB+Mouse, then this will work fine. If not, you may have to play on Windows.
Use Proton to get the controller to work. Also had some issues starting game for the first time using native Linux.
Controller no worky on Linux native.
