Works fine out of the box with proton. I use proton 5.13-2 for this.
Game works almost perfectly out of the box. You don't have to change anything to get it running!
For some reason (and only on arch linux in comparison to when I tried Ubuntu), moving the camera up and down with mouse while holding down the right mouse button is really buggy and changes the position of my cursor and doesn't move the camera, it just moves the view to the bottom and spins around when I move my mouse. Xbox one elite controller using XOW drivers works perfectly.
game has grapahical defects on native linux (flashlight doesnt work well), it looks better with proton
Multiplayer servers have been down for the past month or so because Activision for some reason doesn't have servers running for PC. Custom zombies matches with my friends worked. I get around 80-90 fps on low texture settings and everything else normal.
Works with proton 5.13-2
I have not tried multiplayer servers. I assume the community for this game is dead and nobody actually plays online. The campaign works and so does solo zombies.
When you install the game, leave it to default settings. Steam automatically selects proton 5.0-10 for me.
Anti-cheat doesn't work with proton. Native release works with minor issues.
Splitgate does not work with proton, the EQU8 anti-cheat has trouble downloading an update. On native there are a few issues I noticed. You're unable to select a mic for the in-game voice chat. Another issue is that the performance is noticeably poorer with the native release. I have to run low settings to get 144fps, which at times will dip down to 60 (which is about 60% of the performance of what I would get on windows). Another small issue I encountered was that sometimes my mouse would no longer be locked to the window and when I would look around in game I would have to alt tab and re click my mouse into the application.
