I use a DuelSense (PS5) controller. For it to be properly detected follow the instructions by Stoffel and disable steam controller input. I also had to use it wired. It did not work using bluetooth for this game.

When switching between machines EA sometimes failes to sync your save properly grr

Performance:Significant Performance Problems

Siginificant performance issues than expected considering my hardware. This does not appear to be limited to Linux though.

If my hardware wasn't as good as it is, allowing it to power through the bad optimization, I would not be having nearly as much fun with this game.

Adding launch options etc, makes the game run smoother, but it runs pretty well without them.

I had some minor graphical artefacts when rendering the ship and fire. it looks to me like the LOD (Level Of Detail) was all the way down for those.
