Screen flashes random colours while random game images appear
Couldn't play at all, it was almost like the game was corrupted
Proton 6.2 GE
Slower loading times and the first 30 seconds of spawning in is unplayable
Origin kept asking for my login everytime I launch Battlefield 1 even though I clicked save my login
Punkbuster
80% of the time the game wouldn't even launch because origin kept crashing, origin is an absolute pain to setup but once you get past that the game is completely playable but getting past origin and it's many issues is not easy and very time consuming
Works with Proton however expect lower FPS than Windows and possibly audio problems
No sound at all (possibly my problem)
Slightly less FPS than Windows
Works with Proton
It works with Proton just as it would on Windows, but I don't know why anyone would want to play this game
Game doesn't launch
Steam kept saying "finishing installation" however it was clearly finished and the game itself didn't even launch
Game runs as it would on Windows, except it doesn't go higher than 40fps
The game runs perfect on Windows but struggles to get over 40fps on Linux no matter what graphic settings I'm on
Despite the FPS issue, the game works like it would on Windows
Works out of the box!
Works perfectly with Proton, very nice experience
Worked perfectly with Proton, same FPS as Windows with an Nvidia GPU
Mouse movements seemed sluggish and unresponsive at times
Worked perfectly with Proton enabled, textures loaded in slower but it's not a big problem and I got the same FPS as I would running the Windows version
If you can watch YouTube you can watch this
it's literally a video
Horrible experience, do not play!
Audio settings didn't save after restarting
Major graphics issues
Input lag and I wasn't able to move only attack
Launches but I can't join or make a new game
The game launches perfectly fine but when I click on new game it does nothing, the settings menu drops the game to 10fps and the multiplayer menu is unusable as it drops to 2 and 1 fps. The game isn't natively supported and it's in early access so you can't complain, hopefully it'll be fixed soon
Proton-7.0rc3-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Installed the Open Beta (as of 29th Jan 2022) and Proton GE
Instructions to host your own server:
Follow https://en.scpslgame.com/index.php?title=Guide:Hosting_a_server#Linux_Instructions_.28Ubuntu.2FDebian.29 to make the server
Then in the gameplay config, set online-mode: false instead of true
MAKE SURE YOUR GAME IS ON THE OPEN BETA (as of 29th Jan 2022)
Launch the game and start the server Your game may crash at first but after trying a few times it finally opened Connect to your server with your IP (make sure you port forwarded)
If it says something about Hardware banned you have done something wrong If it lets you join, enjoy as long as you port forwarded anyone you give the IP to can join
Unfortunately this is the only way to play the game and unfortunately doing this disables the anticheat on your server, but if you're playing with friends like I am you can finally play the game, at least for now...
Worked perfectly
No performance difference from windows, it worked straight out of the box
Proton-7.0rc3-GE-1 https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom
Sometimes crashes on Proton 6.3 but Proton 7 GE partly fixed this
Worked perfect out of the box the only issue was the occasional crashes but this was kind of fixed by install Proton 7 GE
Works (if you like low fps)
Game stays at around 25 fps and for some reason vsync made it go to 50 but that's only on the menu, in game it's horrible
The Vulkan build worked perfectly however it crashes on the menu
