Kandalf the Wizard

Game works, sound is broken unless you use xact audio with protontricks as others have suggested. There are some annoying graphical glitches, especially in the first couple levels, but the entire game is playable. There is a noticeable preformance hit from windows, I had to go down to high from ultra high graphics when running through proton.
Game repeatedly opens keyboard on launch requiring a force reboot. Fixed by switching to proton
runs great given the hardware when running with vulkan, but requires gamescope launch options to run without heavy artifacting under wayland
gamescope -w 3440 -h 1440 -b -f --xwayland-count 2 --adaptive-sync -- %command%
Heavy black flickering, solved by running the game through gamescope with the launch options. The flickering only occurs on wayland, and is fixed with gamescope.
It takes a comedically long time to load the initial models and sounds, but with patience they do load and everything is normal.
Vulkan gives huge performance boosts on AMD hardware at least, and it's worth the loading time of the models with the gamescope arguments to not have to switch sessions just to play this game. My launch options are gamescope -w 3440 -h 1440 -b -f --xwayland-count 2 --adaptive-sync -- %command% and you can replace the -w and -h arguments with the width and height of your display. Installing gamescope and running gamescope --help in a terminal will show you all the potential options and what they all do.
gamescope -w 3440 -h 1440 -f -e %command%
Game crashed every 20-40 minutes before running the game through gamescope
Miner's unions do not work because the game cannot detect discord
Game seems to work best through gamescope - install gamescope and in the launch options add gamescope -w [screen width] -h [screen height] -f -e %command% This will make sure the game scales properly, has steam integration, and runs in fullscreen. This would look like gamescope -w 1920 -h 1080 -f -e %command% for most players. See https://github.com/Plagman/gamescope for more info
Game was extremely unstable in fullscreen, but borderless windowed fixed it
Only when the game was in fullscreen, putting the game in borderless windowed mode fixed the crashes
Run with the default version of proton, other versions caused strange bugs and instability
Game is very unstable in fullscreen, borderless windowed works fine
Make sure to play in borderless windowed, on proton 5.13-6, and to set directX version to 10
The game works amazingly if you want to play offline but the multiplayer experience is not good
You can play custom games but not in competitive online. Unable to do campaign with other players without errors.
As long as you don´t need public multiplayer or anniversary graphics on Halo CE, all is fine
changed sensitivity
On Halo CE: The anniversary graphics cause significant stuttering. It must be played with classic graphics
I had crashing when trying to host a private game, but joining a game works fine. The anticheat prevents public multiplayer
Had to switch to proton 7.0-6 or game would have a white title screen
I played the game, joining servers and making servers works perfectly, even at max settings the game preforms great, no complaints!
runs perfectly ootb
put the shoulder buttons onto the triggers for running
ran at 7 watts, did not test anything lower
Fullscreen results in blackscreen
Start by adding "-safe" to your launch options. When the game opens, you can set your graphics settings and save. Make sure that fullscreen is off. Then you can save, close the game, remove the launch option, and play.
Screen is cut off making it unplayable
Opening the game results in only 1/4 of the screen being shown, it is not playable
Everything runs perfect but there is no cloud save and a definite performance hit
geralt's legs are gone, as well as his eyes. Shading is off and geralt is transluscent
next gen update makes game unplayable
You have to run the game in dx11 for it to open
Works great as long as you turn off bloom
turn off bloom in the settings or it obscures vision but otherwise fine
