Solo match menu and civ menu take 5s to show up.
you'll need to play borderless (happens on Win10 as well) if you want to alt+tab in Vulkan
disable steam overlay for better performance
Advanced audio tweak required, no MP, poor performance with Steam overlay and compositors.
Fix crackling by adding default-sample-rate = 48000 and alternate-sample-rate = 48000 to /etc/pulse/daemon.conf
edit .steam/steam/resource/styles/steam.styles and change Notifications.StackSize to "0".
There are some huge performance drop with Steam overlay enabled, and picom (compton) enabled.
copying FC2 Redux mod files into the game's folder.
Redux fixes the jumping glitching NPCs but not the mission's bugs on high framerate, so you'll need to set a max framerate:

144FPS worked through this tweak https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Q.U.B.E._2#High_frame_rate but only in DX11 mode, DX12 still limited to 60FPS. As for the keyboard, it weirdly switched from AZERTY support to QWERTY in the DLCs. Which require to switch keyboard layout in order to function properly setxkbmap -layout fr
For best performance, disable compton/picom and steam overlay. I can hit maxed out 180-220FPS in 1920x1080 in duel.
