Game will crash or show black screen after Atlus logo. To solve this, install winetricks & protontricks and use this command "protontricks 1113000 wmp9 quartz devenum" Also I used Proton 5.0-9.
If you launch game with "PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=60 %command%"(from Steam game properties) the audio problems are solved.

Install xact(in the windows dll & component) if you're having audio issues even after switching to wayland.
After switching to wayland, I did not encounter this issue, though I did install xact earlier when I was running the game in xorg..
Save frequently if you want exact save points.
Some times screen will freeze for few seconds.
In 44 minutes of play, the game crashed 2 times, but you have autosaves.
Game crashes in every play time.
If you disable Esysnc, game doesn't crash when playing. However when exiting the game(from in-game option), it might crash, so when you need to quit just switch to steam & stop the game from library.
To load Cold Steel III clear save data copy it's save folder from /(steam library folder)/steamapps/compatdata/991270/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Saved Games/Falcom/ed8_psv3 to
/(steam library folder)/steamapps/compatdata/1198090/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Saved Games/Falcom/
Then start new game in Cold Steel IV & it will let you choose your clear save, though you might not see the thumbnail.
Disabling Esyc with launch command PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command% fixes most if not all crashes.
Sometimes mouth animations doesn't work & remain static.
