Crashes to desktop are too frequent to continually enjoy.
On menus, single clicking an arrow or option sometimes register multiple clicks.
Frame drops and frame rate tanks on medium and low settings, High and Ultra unplayable.
Reliably crashes after roughly 20 minutes of gameplay. No warning.
Proton log tells me there's too many files open, also a couple of unhandled exceptions.
Silk smooth & low latency!
Like most unity games this one works like a charm!
Minor stuttering and frame drops while loading the scene/environment. Silk smooth afterwards & during gameplay.
Multiplayer works PERFECT
Had to force the use of compatibility tools in steam game settings menu, otherwise it would install the non-multiplayer native linux version.
Paradox Launcher is broken with "prime-run". Had to tinker with optimus-manager.
NATIVE Paradox Launcher is completely black on an Hybrid session. Fixed the issue changing to a Nvidia only session with optimus-manager. I recommend installing optimus-manager and its GUI (optimus-manager-qt in my case) Game runs better than on windows.
prime-run %command%
After some hours of campaign, closing and opening the game, it would refuse to load a savegame, not even the loading progress bar would show up. Replacing the save file for the backup file did temporarily fix the issue but later after playing and saving that one got corrupted too, so I had to start over. Turning Keep Saved Games on Steam Cloud on fixed the issue for me.
Sometimes the game wouldn't pick up the dGPU so I added the prime-run command to force it. Smooth gameplay, no crashes, no stutters.
