I installed this game from Epic through Heroic. Lowered every setting to low or off (if off was a setting available).
Text in hud is difficult to read due to being small.
Not all settings are adjusted to low with a single preset. There are some understandable hitches in framerate but it's not unplayable.
Even at medium graphics setting frame rates are super low and input lag so bad its just painful.
0-1FPS if Steam menu was accessed.
Works very well (30+FPS, no crashes)

Crashes to desktop are too frequent to continually enjoy.
On menus, single clicking an arrow or option sometimes register multiple clicks.
Frame drops and frame rate tanks on medium and low settings, High and Ultra unplayable.
Reliably crashes after roughly 20 minutes of gameplay. No warning.
Proton log tells me there's too many files open, also a couple of unhandled exceptions.
It's a slideshow
13fps out of the box. 22fps after turning all settings to lowest level
Works out of the box.
Runs out of the box with Proton 6.3.7
Unplayably slow, even on known decent hardware.
FPS is about 1-2. Unplayable.
Sometimes fails to load a new or saved game.
With frequent crashes the game is not playable.
Crashes after 15 - 20 minutes

It would actually be totally fine, but it's obnoxious to get things done given the regularity with which the game faceplants.
Proton-5.21-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Some issues with a sluggish framerate and a general lagginess to the inputs; not a lot, but noticeable
Crashes with predictable regularity after about 20-25 minutes of play time; running with PROTON_LOG=1 %command% leaves the following near the end of the log file:
eventfd: Too many open files
Protocol error: process 00fc: sendmsg: Bad file descriptor
...
wine: Unhandled page fault on execute access to 00007F2A30946F45 at address 00007F2A30946F45 (thread 00a0), starting debugger...
Crashes too often. Unplayable.
After a few minutes I get low FPS.
Crashes every time after ~15 minutes.
Looks like the crashes have been fixed. The game can run nicely out of the box with 5.0-9.
Same old problem with windowed games, cursor cant escape it as it should.
To many crashes for now.
Crashes after 5-10 minutes of gameplay.
I have tried with 5.0-9, 3.16-9 and Steam linux runtime, result always the same. Also with 3.16-9 takes longer to load the savegame.

Random crashing makes it unplayable.
This is just an update with the new 5.01 version of Proton.

Frequest slowdowns and crashes make the game unplayable
Slows to a crawl with weapons fire
Crashes constantly during battle

nothing tested, the game is in good performance when it is running, but crushed several times during the gameplay, and there is no clear clue of why that happened. Loading of the game is slow and sometimes window pops out asking me to kill the app (I choose to wait and eventually game loaded successfully). Game crushed once when I paused it during a dialogue, and another time when it about to enter a dialogue, both times I played the game for similar amount of time. Not sure if it is the matter of period of time, or specidic behavior. Up till now, the frequency of crush makes the game not quite playable.

Runs out of the box and playable but the performance is not overwhelming. In some situations it seems a little lagged and choppy. Loading times seems longer as on Windows and sometimes it crashed when saving

The game is a little choppy, but completely playable. The game is still EA, and recent, so some of these issues are to be expected(long load screens, unstable saves).

This is about the Demo version of the game. The full game has not been released yet and will likely get a native port.
Game starts and gets to the main menu, it becomes unresponsive while loading the prologue and requires a force quit. ALT+TABing causes some issues when switching back to the game.

Demo. FPS in the main menu is atrocious. Starting the Prologue throws a Wine error (in the backgroud). I couldn't find the crash report it mentioned in the error and had to kill the process to exit. Also the Xbox controller didn't work in the menus.

Demo version. On Proton, it's "Silver," as Proton doesn't seem to be usn't using DXVK, so FPS is low. Running DXVK on Lutris the performance is normal and in that setting is "Plantinum."
