Unable to launch
both the currently recommended version and the mentioned 4.2.9 are leaving me at "Launching game"
Runs out of the box
Check the launch options, I feel like dx12 works best for me, no noticable lag / freezes or similar.
Won't launch on default settings
For everyone looking for a 1-click to play via proton - this is not it
Does not start on default settings
won't launch on default settings - not your 1-click to play game
MAYBE single player it could work, but that is not how most people will want to play this. Connection issues & input registration -> :(
some input was not correctly registering
re-connecting to a multiplayer session not possible until the game was restarted
re-connection issues (or some times also first connection did not work)
Better than the native version. Via Proton I got fullscreen and my controller working. Native had sometimes trouble switching over to the controller.
Runs out of the box given my configuration. The few spots where I experience a slight performance problem are not too bad.
SLIGHT stuttering in some areas, nothing major.
Runs good enough
sometimes a windows like error screen with an assertion error. Usually around cut scenes
Certainly not perfect, but I did not have any game breaking bugs or inconviencences other than the occasional crash when a cutscene was about to play or finish.
Sometimes the shadows flicker / appear in the air. Mostly when driving the buggy
Enjoyable!
When cart selected, ground textures flickering
Minor visual bug, which only occured when the cart was selected and did not hinder game play at all
Works almost perfectly out of the box. Good enough for me as I did not want to tinker around for this game
enabling fullscreen is fine, alt-tab to desktop as well, but afterwards not possible to get back into the game
Some drops in FPS
Watchout if you are using fullscreen not to alt-tab out of the game. As I was currently not able to reopen the game, I lost a bit of progress.
Works well out of the box
Clocked in about 2 hours, completed the tutorials & 2 first levels
I feel like I had better performance on native windows, other than that a smooth ride so far
Steam friends only, no EOS
I haven't gotten much time in yet, but without proton experimental I get only to see the main menu.
gamemoderun %command%
changing video settings crashes sometimes
After adding the launch parameters the game run fine. I have less than expected fps, but dialing down the video options to low, reducing the resolution and enabling FSR makes it to 45-60 fps
