PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1
Works great with NVIDIA driver 510.47.03. Issues like loading problems can be fixed using PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1, also have __GL_THREADED_OPTIMIZATIONS=1. Seems to work fine.
With the recent update the game doesn't appear to work anymore, regardless of tinkering.

Like for other Daybreak Games Launchers --disable-gpu will fix the white window issue.
Gets stuck when closing, have to manually kill.
There's two issues:
- Initial start will hang at the loading screen. Just start it again!
- Rightclick on the game, click properties, Compabtiblity, "Force use of a pecific Steam Play compatibility tool"
- Select Proton Experimental
Then everything will work smoothly.
Game doesn't start with Proton GE, but Proton Experimental works.
Crackling isn't too bad after a while, even though it's annoying at the beginning.
Even with the new of Proton EAC doesn't appear to work. So multiplayer can't be used.
Multiplayer not working
There seems to be a performance issue
It took me a bit to realize that the bottom right white animation on the black screen is actually supposed to animate, since it changed a bit after a minute.
Surprised by nobody else having this issue when ti's the only game that does for me. Also tried with different Proton versions.
