It would not load my save. No one wants to deal with that
Tried to delete my old saved games and disable steam cloud but it would STILL not load my campaign saves, the files were there but i still got nothing after restarting. If i went to the main menu the save would be there but if i closed the game and started it again it would not anything and only list 3 empty save files. I have the SAME problem on steam deck even and i tried multiple versions of proton.
It would not load my save files. Unplayable.
Loading saves broken = game broken
Used the Deus Exe launcher for modern resolution options, fov change, raw mouse input and fps cap change.
If you use a Nordic keyboard layout you will have to use an older version of Proton like 4.11-13 or else certain keys will not work, unrelated to åöäøæ.
Clicked install, game boots, started playing, just works
Did not try multiplayer.
Artifacts could be gotten rid of by turnign off AA and motion blur but the text problem persists, still playable however.
gamemodeon %command%
Enabling motion blur and AA causes their own sets of unrelated artifacts. Text and the crosshair is also glitchy but legible. AA does not smooth the edges when enabled and causes black spots near the "seems" of the polygons. Motion blur causes "noisy" rectangles och darker lighitng in the distance.
I tried a bunch of other versions of proton and deleting the compat data and shader cache and so on but it did not improve things.
I had to disable Origin notifications so it wouldnt tab out TF2 which makes the game black screen on XFCE
Game will be stuck at a black screen if Alt+Tab is used, even when the game is in windowed mode, also with my Distro+Desktop Enviorment combo(Manjaro+XFCE) the Origin and Steam achievements would tab me out, the work around for this was to disable origin notifications and enable Steam Overlay so they would not "tab out" the game window.
Multiplayer is currently down for ALL platforms as of writing this, due to Respawn's laziness/indifference, I did not try the 3rd party Northstar client.
