Doom Eternal Works fine when using a Custom version of Proton. using Proton-5.4-GE-3 and the latest mesa devel worked.
proton-5.4-GE-3 GloriousEggroll
If you are on Arch Linux or an arch distro. you must install the Mesa-git 20.1.0 devel from the aur repositories and install proton-ge-custom-bin to get it working. Arch makes this simpler than other distros
After the latest version of proton 4.11-2 it fixed the black screen issue that it had in the previous version. Game loads, animations work fine and there are some minor fps stutters but, the game finally works. The only other issue, is that the text is not showing properly such as date it shows jd but, i am sure that will be fixed in a later update
Newest Proton version Proton 5.0-8 has now made planet zoo playable and fixed the wine runtime error crash in the latest version
Using a custom version of proton called Proton-GE-custom, the latest one being Proton-5.9-GE-6-ST
Proton Glorious Eggroll
If you are on Arch Linux. Using your desired package manager please enable the AUR repository (main one being pamac) and install proton-ge-custom-stable-bin, this version fixes the music issue that has plagued this game since the release of proton and then restart steam.
The Game runs perfectly fine on proton, there are no crashes, lockups or issues. Its runs as it would on windows.
Game runs fine out of the box. Make sure you have Proton 4.11-1 installed and it will work
The Game loads the Nexon Launcher but, then it never loads, no errors, no nothing. I think the anti-cheat system used by Nexon is causing the problem.
