Yes, EAC works out of the box with Proton GE and thus should work with Proton Experimental bleeding edge.

Dualshock 4 required the gamepad option from Controller General Settings
No tinkering - game defaulted to Ultra quality on my hardware. 45 - 100fps at 1440p
Borderless window has a very small white pixel border, not a problem at all.
Great game, works out of the box, but I do know others who experience crashes (on Windows but I don't believe it to be exclusive). I've yet to crash at 15 hours.

EAC working with Proton Experimental. I've been playing matches a few days and haven't been removed yet.
I have had an occasional server connection issue (10 - 15 sec once every 6 or 7 matches), and am unsure if it was just a temporary blip or related to Proton/EAC.
Currently requires bleeding edge experimental Proton for EAC.
Unable to swap windows while in fullscreen with FSR on
When alt-tabbing sometimes the mouse / controller binds get stuck on your item wheel.
