Runs fine.
The game runs fine when SteamVR works. It seems the latest SteamVR version is needed, with the 1.14 Linux branch I get a .NET error prompt. Mods and custom songs can be used, I installed mods with Beataroni.
I didn't notice any performance issue with the 6900XT (using the Valve Index @120Hz), although I also tried with a 980Ti and it was not a smooth experience at all, even with most settings set to the minimum and running at 80Hz.

The game runs fine, around 70fps everything set to ultra in 4K. With FSR enabled, otherwise details need to be turned down for the game to be smooth.
I had problems with mouse focus in Wayland, but it looks like Plasma 6.0.3 fixed this issue ? At least I didn't get the issue again since I upgraded.

I installed the game with regular proton a while ago with no issue, but recently I had to switch to proton experimental for EA app to work properly.
The performance is excellent, smooth 60fps in 4k everything cranked to the max, but only with vsync enabled. When vsync is disabled, the game might run at 80fps, but it's a stuttery mess. There also is one area in the game where the fps drop significantly (somewhere in the west part of the map with hills...), no idea why. It didn't bother me since it's only a small area.

We used to need Proton Experimental, but it's not needed anymore, the game runs fine with regular Proton 8.

When alt-tabing, the game will go windowed and it won't be back to fullscreen until restarted.
One of the races crashes frequently (Emerson Beltway). I found that waiting a bit at the beginning to avoid getting into the pack helps quite a lot. It's the only race with this problem, the rest of the game is perfectly fine.
The game doesn't really feel fluid even if mangohud displays a stable 60fps. I guess it's an engine problem, not really related to Proton.

I only tested the game for a short time on desktop since I finished it on the Steam Deck. It runs fine, no issue whatsoever.

In previous proton versions, installing d3dx9_35 was needed for any text to be displayed. Text is displayed properly with current proton versions, but the game crashes as soon as you try to start a level if the above protontricks command is not run.
