Works fine

Too much connection issues resulting in absurd amount of lag.
Alt-Tabing during login screen or character selection screen would give a black screen on the immediate next loading screen, going to Haven. Alt-Tabing at any other moment doesn't seem to give any problem.
Had to disable Steam Inputs for it to recognize my controller. When playing on fullscreen, the mouse cursor would ramein invisible, making it hard to navigate through the menus since this task can't be done by the controller.
Sometimes the game would just not start, requiring it to be reinstalled. Seems to happen when the game gets closed for losing connection with the servers.
The connection with the servers can get really bad even when playing solo.

Don't know why my OS is showing as Freedesktop; running linux Mint 21.1
Lag with the servers sometimes, occassionally unplayable, but still an active community population out there

On some boots the updater window makes it difficult for Gamescope to detect the window or the game crashes entirely
Crashes sometimes when updating
Touchscreen needed

Great game. Underrated gem, and holds up well, but the server issues i've encountered make it practically unplayable.

Game consistently disconnects fom either server after 5-10 minutes of normal gameplay.
I'll be experimenting a bit with proton settings and trying to see if this is a linux issue or a general issue, and will update the report accordingly.
Native to Linux
It's a multiplayer game. Worked excellently, identical to how it did on Windows.
Works out of the box! The game is officially supported for Linux - I personally didn't experience any bugs or performance issues aside from some minor graphical glitches when alt-tabbing. However, these only lasted for a second or two.
Forced experiemental and am tinkering with controls otherwise it works wonders. love this game and its a gem
Working on layout
Wolver crew for life
Things look... A little artifacty than I remember originally? But these are NOT significant, and you wouldn't really notice as a new player. hard to explain but yeah
Spiral Knights is an MMO so, yeah. It's inherently multiplayer. I could interact with other players.
I used to love this game as a kid! Very fun, but a bit too MTX oriented. They're even hiring more devs after a loooong stagnation in content. A good MMO to try out asides Veloren if you're a Linux player!
Great game for the steam deck, hidden gem that fits the control options so well, also pretty good battery life while playing.
I enabled back buttons, set R4 as the map button bound to whichever the default keyboard button it is ingame, and R5 as the left mouse click. L4 and L5 were both dash.
Special places like shadow lair cause the game's framerate to tank to single digits, but that happens on my PC as well. The game is still steam deck playable out of the box.
Either the game engine or the wifi I was on caused me to sometimes have microlags, like movement being a little jerky, but not often enough to make the game any worse.
It's not perfect, but ir IS playable
As I said, for casual play this is perfectly fine, you might ger some microstutters in the firestorm citadel, but even that is playable.
Me and my mates picked this gem up recently, the game is fairly playable out of the box. Normal missions work just fine, but in the shadow lair the game shat itself, I had sub 15, sometimes sub 5 fps. For casual play it is fine, but don't do any "raiding" on linux if you can. (This might be a java x86 issue, my frined updated to x64 on windows and his performance is fine since then)
It was either the game or my connection, couldn't tell, sometimes it shits itself a little, but overall I'd say I played worse runing games :)
Character profile picture is missing. Some leaves are also missing.
Game is running under 60 FPS.
Black screen and with sound once
also did not launch again after getting the black screen in the intial try

First boot-up, no audio. That fixed itself by closing and opening again, and it has worked perfectly each and every time after. :D
My only complaint is that the in-game voicechat is too quiet compared to the music, even when the music is turned down to about 10%. However, I do not believe Proton has anything to do with this issue, so...
Worked out of the box.
Finished a couple of solo missions without issues
El juega funciona perfecto con proton
Low fps and stuttering
There is no sound.
Downloaded it and Proton 5.13 - 2, worked right out of the box and was able to log straigt back onto a knight I used in windows
works out of the box
Runs just like on Windows.
Game tends to go black in fullscreen without recovering. Windowed fullscreen works perfectly.
Game runs perfectly fine after installing
env STEAM_RUNTIME_PREFER_HOST_LIBRARIES=0 steam
Steam didn't load its tabs (Store, library, etc)
Sometimes at the initial conversation screen of an npc, the mouse would move like 3cm

Started Steam with env STEAM_RUNTIME_PREFER_HOST_LIBRARIES=0 steam - worked perfectly with sound. Did not have to disable esync.

Works but no sound. Joystick is offset to the left - Note that game converts joystick to mouse pointer internally and circles it around the player for movement/aim

Disabled Esync in the game's launch options and ran Steam via the command line with the command "env STEAM_RUNTIME_PREFER_HOST_LIBRARIES=0 steam". Works flawlessly after this.

Disable Esync. Close Steam, and enter "env STEAM_RUNTIME_PREFER_HOST_LIBRARIES=0 steam" in the terminal WITHOUT QUOTES. After this, the game will run perfectly fine!

Crash.

Launched Steam via "env STEAM_RUNTIME_PREFER_HOST_LIBRARIES=0 steam", as well as disabled Esync. Ran perfectly fine.

After disabling esync for Sprial Knights specifically and launching Steam with "env STEAM_RUNTIME_PREFER_HOST_LIBRARIES=0 steam", the game ran equivalent to the Windows version with no crashes as listed below.

After game launches and logs in, the screen is black although audio is plays. Options screen works though.

I've tried everything from https://www.protondb.com/app/99900 and nothing worked it just get stuck on logon screen, then crash.

STEAM_RUNTIME_PREFER_HOST_LIBRARIES=0 resolves instantaneous start crash. Frequently crashes after login, if not before. The Menu sometimes appears glitched. Graphics other than that of the menu disappears after roughly 3-5 seconds. Disabling esync seems to have had no effect.

The game works, although player movement seems to speed up and slow down randomly. Used the "env STEAM_RUNTIME_PREFER_HOST_LIBRARIES=0 steam" fix.

Runs perfectly out of the box

Steam needs STEAM_RUNTIME_PREFER_HOST_LIBRARIES=0 environment variable.
