Unfortunately Nyakuza Metro degrades this game to no longer launching with Proton. Unchecking the DLC from your DLC list to uninstall it allows the game to launch again as normal.
Game runs great and as intended out of the box. Changing resolutions can get dicey and crash, but it seems this problem is also recreatable on Windows, so I'm not counting it against Proton, more against the developers.
Runs just fine after renaming the launcher as listed below and using this guide to replace the configs: https://steamcommunity.com/app/213610/discussions/0/846938350589831838/
After disabling esync for Sprial Knights specifically and launching Steam with "env STEAM_RUNTIME_PREFER_HOST_LIBRARIES=0 steam", the game ran equivalent to the Windows version with no crashes as listed below.
