If you play on Linux, save as much as possible in different slots and get used to skipping back after a crash
Constant crashes, the game seems to have a memory leak and crashes once it passes the 32-bit address space, basically the more you move around and the higher the resolution the more frequent the crashes (they can be anywhere from 10 mins to 50 mins of standard gameplay and will not occur at all if you sit and do nothing)
Aside crashing you can tell if the game is close to crashing when textures disappear, which won't always happen and in my experience a crash with no warning is more likely
Not worth playing on Linux, crashes make the game almost unplayable, this will be the only game in the last 7 years I will play on Windows, I've tried using WineD3D, disabling Esync/Fsync, basically every possible DXVK conf option with no success

Attempted to play the game without any custom configurations, but I wasn't even able to access the main menu screen and the lag was unbearable. The game is straight up just broken on the Deck.
Any Proton 8 version works, GE or otherwise
Never put the game into full screen. It will become a little box and you will not be able to see anything anymore. Then this setting gets uploaded into steam cloud and even reinstalling will not fix it. This will screw your game completly over. Starting from desktop mode will not help either.
Despite which Proton version you use the game crashes every 15 minutes.
After a few minutes you have to choose your name. On the newer Proton versions the game crashes everytime at the name selection. You have to use Proton 6.3-8 or 5.13-6 to get past that.
Right now the game is not really playable and shouldn't be verified on Steam. I played through the first chapter and all the crashes didn't make this a pleasant experience. There might be even more game breaking bugs later on. For now I cannot recommend it.

The guaranteed crash on a time limit makes the last few chapters unplayable because you won't be saving for longer than 20 minute stretches.
Doesn't like borderless or windowed
Crashes every 20 minutes and 2 seconds.
The crashing every 20 minutes and 2 seconds
Until the crashing gets figured out by community or devs, best to just do SteamLink to a non-Linux device which is what I ended up doing near the end.
Currently not playable on Steam Deck, at least not without any modifications. Repeatedly crashes when attempting to enter your name.
When choosing "Fullscreen" in the graphics setting, the screen turned into a small box. Even when reinstalling the game, the screen would not return to normal. Due to the screen only showing the top corner of the menu, it was very difficult to reset the graphics setting in-game.
The game would always crash at the same spot, when you have to enter your name. I could not get around the crash.
Due to the game crashing when attempting to enter your name, the game was unplayable.
Unfortunately, the game cannot currently be run on Steam Deck. Hopefully in the future this will change, as aside from the crash, the game ran well and looked fine.
crashes after roughly 15-20 minutes of gameplay
initially I thought it might have just been some cg that screwed over proton but no the game just straight up crashes after 15-20 minutes of playing no matter where you are
Always crashed after around 20 minutes at the same point

Game will often crash, sometimes it won't even load some scenes or it can shift to a black screen when you go to the bag. Save often!
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Sometimes choosing some menu options led to a black screen.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Doesn't start
No issues found
Very often after tabbing out, when I tabbed back in the screen would no longer be updating and only show the screen as it was before I alt-tabbed with audio still playing. I was always able to get around this by alt-tabbing out and back in again. Because this game isn't time restrained most of the time it was only a minor annoyance, just be careful about alt-tabbing during the live/die sections.

Can use alt+enter for fullscreen during gameplay, but desktop does not revert back to former resolution (3440x1440) without going into DE display settings (Gnome 3.36.5).
Crashed twice within roughly 2 hours of playing. Frequent saving recommended.

While it doesn't even launch out of the box, it works perfectly with the latest version of proton GE at least i didn't notice any issue.
