In the intro I had 14-20 frames. In the game 1-3 frames.

usando los comandos y proton 5.9 el juego logra iniciar, recomiendo jugar en minimo si al igual que yo tienes un pc lento
PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% -nointro
El rendimiento es de esperar por los componentes de mi laptop, siendo unos 10 a 30 fps estando todo en minimo y sin la interfaz de steam activa

Game Launch Fails in the same place every time.
-nointro
Applied Winetricks like the "Before Reporting" section said.
With or without the Intro enabled the game crashes to desktop before the Main Menu screen comes up and before it makes any sound. I have tried all of the suggestions in the Game Troubleshooting FAQ and the reports including using every Compatibility Layer version from Experimental back to the earliest version of v5. I have tried other Windows only games with a Gold rating and they just work.
I played the game on lesser hardware on Windows, and I managed to launch and run BioShock Remastered evem though my hardware is lacking. With or Without the intro enabled it will not launch, but other roughly same period games for windwos launch and run without any work.

Perfect out of the box!
No issues whatsoever, physics objects will be in 30 FPS but that is how it is meant to function.

Going through the original game, I enjoyed it no worse than the remaster
bash -c 'exec "${@/2KLauncher\/LauncherPatcher.exe/Build\/Final\/BioshockHD.exe}"' -- %command% -nointro
Turn off the Steam input (on the setup of the Steam app) and then let the game take control of the gamepad/controller. It automatically changes the keyboard configuration to the XBox controller.

You have to make sure something works as a mouse as the trackpad and changing trackpad press to mouse click does it fine. But you need mouse to change to "xbox 360" controller in game and then it works with deck controls.
The game itself isn't demanding so it didn't help much but just kept it from using a little more than it needed. TDP 10-12 GPU CLOCK 800-1000 This was more than enough for 60fps without extra power drain.
I get about 4+ hours from full charge (OLED)
As said before you have to turn on "xbox 360" (controller support)
I had to run protonGE as I think it needs it to use the directx version or something on the first boot

disabling VSync it's mandatory to let the game run at 60fps or above. sometimes audio gets choppy.
this stuff happens in windows too
At startup the game needs a mouse click to run in fullscreen
Game runs and is playable till the end but every once in a while the frame rate plummets under 60 with no apparent reason. Sometimes it happens when you get multiple enemies on screen, sometimes where nothing happens.
maybe 2 crashes in 22hrs of gameplay
overall a good experience but not perfect.

The game runs fine. The only proble is that the assets are not always loading... They take time (2-3 minutes), so for a big part of the stage, we are stuck with their simple low res versions.
It takes 1-2 minutes... (it varies, but its always a pause of more than 15-20 seconds) everytime I enter into a hack device screen, or a vending machine or even when I try to save.

Lover detail textures
Freezes when seving and loading game
Freezes on hacking and some when picking up somethings
Needed to hack around K2

I tried all versions of proton and ge and various startup options that other reports here but it never starts

I was able to play at 1440p high setting 60+ frames

Change resolution goes black screen but it goes back to normal after a few seconds
Bioshock runs perfect under Proton experimental, compared to windows back in the day it was a mess to play the game because it had brightness problem but now on Linux, it runs smooth, perfect out of the box experience.

Used above thing to turn on game's controller support, then switched to default layout.
You need to turn on controller support (Xbox 360 controller in Settings).
Game didn't launch at first.

bash -c 'exec "${@/2KLauncher\/LauncherPatcher.exe/Build\/Final\/BioshockHD.exe}"' -- %command% -nointro
When starting the game, I had to use the keyboard in the menus, press enter on settings and then use the mouse back out then start the game. If I didn't do this, the keyboard and mouse wouldn't work and I had to alt + F4.
Framerate dips. I guessing this is because of the 2k launcher.
Needs 2k Launcher. I had use launch options to bypass it.

PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
The game crashes sometimes, but I don't think it is Proton's problem.
Without PROTON_USE_WINED3D, the game crashes after the intro movies.

Occasional frame drops and the game locked up once, required restart.
Game froze completely once, required restart.
Overall, runs great, occasional frame drops (but that is probably due to my hardware).

To disable the 2K launcher, create a bash script (such as "bioshock.sh"), from which you will launch the game:
#!/bin/bash
steam steam://rungameid/7670 & sleep 12 && killall reaper
$SHELL
Remember to make the script executable. Note that you may need to adjust the 12 seconds slightly depending on the speed at which your system goes through the usual launch process. If the kill command comes too early or too late it won't work. Very hacky solution but it launches consistently for me now, and the game runs perfectly. I did notice settings such as resolution being reset, so that will still need to be taken care of separately.
change default configuration layout to use right touchpad as mouse and left click, enable xbox controller ingame and then revert to default if you want, change resolution to 1280*800 and restart the game
right trackpad click as left mouse click
40 fps
No longer works
PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 mangohud %command%
There was some update, I think in Oct 2022. The game no longer launches. The same goes for Bioshock 2 (Windows), Bioshock Infinite (Linux).
Game defaulted to a keyboard and mouse, so only trackpad and R2 worked. In the game I changed it to Xbox 360 controller and it worked fine.
2K Released "Quality of Life Update" in Sept 2022 which borked the game's ability to be played through Proton
All of my previous playtime prior to the update was via Proton. This game used to work flawlessly. Now the game will not start. Hopefully 2K fixes this breaking update or someone finds a fix.
Didn't try any tinkering, but the game closes before I can even see the menus. Just switch to the remastered one, that one play great so far. (Still testing it)

Very dificult to change resolution but it is possible with some effort.
It takes some time to find the right proton verson that works best with your systems. And to change the resolution. However, once you have found the best proton version I have not had any issues so far.
After first crash i can no longer play the save file
PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 %command% -nointro
Changing resulution is broken, after every crash all settings reset
A couple of pop-ups on first install needed to be accepted.
Default resolution wasn't right. Change to 1280x800 windowed to display correctly.
Controller not recognised initially. Use trackpad as mouse to select "Xbox 360 Controller" from the options menu.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
Do no change the resolution, play at 1024x768
To change resolution, change to windowed, change resolution, change to fullscreen
Could not disable mouse acceleration
After changing the resolution, the game continues running, but does not boot up the next time.

Freezes on the second chapter with out of the box settings. Can't play comfortably on widescreen resolutions. Can't change brightness
-nointro
Enabling fullscreen and changing resolution at the same time doesn't work. First need to change resolution, then apply changes, then enable fullscreen, then apply again
Widescreen resolutions make sensitivity strange (faster horizontally than vertically) and also make the cursor very slow
Game freezes when hacking something (e.g. Security Bot)
Changing brightness doesn't work
I used Steam Tinker Launch and enabled "Proton no ESYNC" and "Proton no FSYNC". This made it so the game wouldn't freeze when hacking something, for example Security Bots
Controller support is more wonky compared to the remaster, graphics are worse (no AA at all), and it kept crashing after the first loading screen after the bathysphere intro sequence. I switched to the Bioshock Remastered and it's absolutely flawless.
To go to the menu and be able to mark "play with a controller": Change the right trackpad to "Mouse" and its click to "Left mouse click", after that change just enable and now you can play as a xbox 360
For default the game applies a 1024x768 resolution, change it to 800p resolution and mark the "play on window" then the game will be full screen already.
When new zones are loading the FPS go from 60 to 20
Besides the trackpad being the mouse and the slowdowns when new areas are loading, the game feels good and plays nice, 60 fps with no caps on TPD and GPU frequency it consumes around 12W = 3h10m~ of gameplay on high so a great choice to play on.
Runs well
PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 %command% -nointro
only on certain levels
significant lag when using X11, it was unplayable. Surprisingly, it worked fine with Wayland.
More or less stable game works with default 1024x768, other sizes cause crashes.
Frequent unstable start/work with Proton 5.13-6 and Proton 6.3-8. :(
Played with Proton 5.0-10 and PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% -nointro
No higher Proton version work stable.

A 'bit' of tinkering.
Game did not started with 'Proton Experimental', putting aside fun with zombified wine* processes that steam sometimes leaves I got it working perfectly with chaotic-aur/proton-ge-custom-bin 7.1_GE_2-1, my 'Launch options: ENABLE_VKBASALT=1 PROTON_USE_WINED3D10=1 stranglevk --vulkan-only --fps 72 gamemoderun %command% -nointro', set everything You want in game menu then revoke write permissions on Bioshock.ini and user.ini, then do some magic to them according to pcgamingwiki and You are actually 'Golden', game runs and looks beautifully with cas and smaa, remaster 'port' is a joke.

Esync and Fsync must be disabled, otherwise the textures are not properly loaded
Sometimes the game crash on startup and reset the graphic settings.There is an issue related to subtitles (also present on Windows): they fade before the characters finish to speak (it only happens if you play with a gamepad).
