Works great out of the box.
One caveat that most will probably not run into: Without IPv6 support compiled into the kernel the game won't be able to connect to the servers. Modern Linux setups will have this though, you have to go out of your way to disable it.
Just Hit Play & Go
-works without tinkering -menus get funky sometimes but not a biggie -when i quit, steam still shows it as running, and then i hit Stop and it stops.
Game might hang when clicking on the quit button, otherwise the experience is perfect
Works perfectly out of the box.
Sometimes the game freezes when exiting and has to get killed manually.
Je n'ai rencontré aucun problème pour le lancer, garde la sauvegarde et se joue agréablement.

A minor problem: On occasion, the game does not exit cleanly. The "Play/Stop" button in the Steam client is stuck on "Stop" (i.e. Steam still thinks the game is running), and there are processes left running which need to be manually cleaned up with kill -s TERM
, etc. Other than the annoyance of having to clean up processes, this does not seem to have any adverse effects. Your account progress, stats, in-game currency, etc. seem to be all saved server-side, so none of that is impacted.
The game looks great and plays perfectly on my low-end hardware.

Playing the game works flawlessly with PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command%
as launch option.
Game often does not shut down properly and needs to be stopped manually with e. g. killall Eternal.exe

Only problem I noticed was that sometimes the game doesn't exit correctly and freezes - and then must be killed manually.

Crashes during loading of Unity without "PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command%" set in Launch Options, with it runs properly. All gameplay parts work perfectly but after 60+ hours I am lowering rating from Gold to Silver because the first two issues are really getting on my nerves: 1) Half of the time I need to kill it via Manager, it gets stuck while closing. 2) It is prone to random overheating on my setup. Runs OK for few hours at 60°C and then suddenly attacks 90°C within half a minute. 3) And there is also a rectangle with constant stream of flickering messages like "Connecting to Steam" which is shown in the bottom of the right black stripe. But it does not cover any game area there and it only appears if there are those black side stripes (fullscreen while using a resolution with other ratio than your monitor) so I don't mind.

Everything appears to work perfectly, set up an account, played fullscreen and windowed.

Works perfectly out of the box

Works properly once that "PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command%" is set in Launch Options. Without it it crashes during loading of Unity. I have managed to connect to my Eternal account and tested all parts but Event now, both PvE and PvP.
The only issue I have found is a rectangle with constant stream of flickering messages like "Connecting to Steam" which is shown in the bottom of the right black stripe. Works properly once that "PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command%" is set in Launch Options. Without it it crashes during loading of Unity. I have managed to connect to my Eternal account and tested Account, Collection and Puzzles so far.

I have run into a few crashes; sometimes in game, sometimes at startup. They happen so rarely that it's barely an issue and so far I've always made it back to the game in time. Apart from that it runs perfectly.

Runs perfectly out of the box without any detectable video/audio glitches.

Occasionally on the 3.16 channel there are some visual and auditory hiccups, but not right now on 3.16-6. It is always playable out of the box.

Since the last update, D3D11 needs to be disabled or you get errors at launch: "GetThreadContext failed". Also text boxes like those showing the Privacy Agreement are empty.

Need to set launch option to "PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command%", otherwise it will crash on start. After that - runs flawlessly. Account Linking, high Framerate, etc... everything works perfectly!

Only the EULA and privacy policy in the beginning were not readable

Everything seems to work perfectly, feels even smoother than on Windows 10 on the same machine. Just need to set launch options to "PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command%", otherwise the game won't start.

Needed to set launch option to "PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command%"

The game does not start. Steam says the game is running, looking at task manager there is an UnityCrashHandler, if killing this the game will "start" but it will be stock at 0% for ever.

Works fine, finished campaign, made a pvp battle, as well as computer fights

Doesn't seem to start properly since patch 1.38. A Unity crash process starts up and nothing else happens. If you kill that process, Eternal starts but gets stuck initializing.

No tweaks, just install and go. Worked perfectly with no hiccups.

Run perfectly with a functioning steam play! However, you must follow the instructions for properly setting Steam Play, which is described in the Steam Play faq. Store and steam overlay both work well.

Game doesn't even start, crashed imidetly

no errors, purchasing worked as well.

did not test buying things from the store, but it otherwise seems to run great

No noticeable issues
