Can't edit my previous report - I'm using Proton 7.0-1, not whatever version got attached to that report.
Aside from the weird offset game screen and weird config settings I have not encountered any problems whatsoever in the game itself.
Game launches offset slightly with desktop still visible on left side of screen, tabbing out and back in fixes this and centers game.
Launching the game in "English" in the config actually launched it with Japanese text and voice acting, which then randomly switched to English voices after a while. Launching the game in " "ú-{Œê " (which I assume is 日本語 corrupted) launches it with English text and voices, which you can then change to (superior) Japanese voice acting in the settings.
Literally just make sure to set your language properly in the pre-game setup and alt-tab twice once it starts up and you're gold.
perfect
finally on proton 7.0.1 the video intro runs. Dont know why, but other atelier games still doesnt run the MF media videos. Go figure, but at least with Sophie OG the game is perfect now.
Works great out of the box, except the opening/ending videos
Window resolution might drop to 1280x720 in MATE desktop after minimizing window or switch to another workspace, but this does not happen when using KDE.
Some older Proton has some game startup issues but 6.3 series just works fine.
Controllers works fine.
I would recommended if you using old proton like 5.0-10 rather than a new one (6.3-4)
So far this game is running perfectly fine on new or oldest proton, but in a new proton you cannot switch language to english and will automatically use japan instead. If you tried to switch language on menu setting it will crashing. So, better use old proton.
It says "Ready to launch game" but just stays there forever
Absolute flawless performance. 48 hours to date
Due to setup, I used jackd with pulseaudio, I get crackling. Fine otherwise
Don't believe the minimum requirements, I can run this on max settings (just shadows on high) on 720p and get stable 60 FPS.
Works fine, beside cinematic intro.
i completed a whole playthrough using Proton. The only issue i encountered was that the game can be a bit laggy once you collected all cauldrons and upgraded them all to use a larger grid but this is only during synthesis. The game also runs fine using D9VK but i couldn't measure any performance improvement since my GTX 1080 easily maxes out the framerate
Just like windows. Works even at 4k. 10/10
even on an INTEL GPU in a LAPTOP, it runs fine enough for me (somewhere between 25-30 normally), but does dip sometimes, but generally runs nice especially considering the hardware.
Somehow, it uses less resources than playing on windows
Videos do not play
Sound glitch
no problem
the game runs smooth then first round its was mistake I retested it ran fine
wont launch the launcher
