If you select more than 6 mods, the mods selector app freezes and you need to force close it, so 6 mods maximum
Game works flawlessy, with good fps and doesn't crash at all
The only gripe i have is the fact that you can't select more than 6 mods as the mods selector will freeze, but the game per se is perfectly working, even with mods

The game gets stuck in the launcher when opening. Looks fozen on graphic. Works perfect after argument fix
-skiplauncher
The game got stuck in the launcher when opening. Use "-skiplancher" argument to fix. Game runs perfect. other protons may work.
Took a bit of digging to find a fix. I hope this helps other people with this launch issue.
Amazing game, just works

The only problem i faced was not being able to start the game from the initial screen, once i changed the proton and layout it got fixed.
The game ran very smooth at 60fps, i would not recomend playing it at less, but that's just my opinion. Its a fast paced game, so i feel like keeping it at 60 or atleast 50. Everyone is different, maybe the 40fps wont bother you as it did for me. Works very well with proton experimental, and a comunity layout, thats all you need.
RADV_PERFTEST=gpl %command%
Don't turn on antialiasing FSAA which results black screen. If you have black screen on startup go to: "/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/508980/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Local/Settings/Application/Data/Crashday/config/graphics.config" and change FSAA to 0.
Music used to not work on Deck, and the game would often crash due to related issues.
All of this seems to be fixed with newest Proton 7.0-6. Absolute blast to play portably.
No music in game, and received a crash to desktop after the first mission due to an audio file being unable to be played.
-nolauncher
Crashes after completing the first mission
gamemoderun mangohud obs-gamecapture %command% -skiplauncher
Mod Assistant/Launcher is borked, to enable workshop mods, go to Steam/steamapps/compatdata/508980/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/Crashday/config/launcher.config and switch subscribed mod items from false to true
When changing some graphics settings in fullscreen, the game locks up and has to be restarted. Also when getting back to the game, the game is rendered in an unplayably small window at the top left.
Framerate gets notably worse when crashing. Probably intended
The sound issues seem to have been fixed, probably due to Media Foundation getting fixed. Music and voices are there.
Launch window needs to be accessed via the touch screen to press 'start'
Absolutely no music playing on Steam Deck. Also sometimes the game crashes with an error due to not being able to read a .ogg sound file
Frequently crashes due to not being able to read certain audio files it seems
Game is playable, but still prone to crashing, especially during level transitions as it seems to not be able to load certain .ogg sound files. Further, the background music (a big part of Crashday) is completely missing.
Music is missing completely

Crash everytime after (or before) the first mission.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Tried with Proton , Forced Experimental, and GE-Proton ... Unplayable in my case...
Used PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% to fix 'shimmering' glitchy polygons
Others seem to have no problems, so I think my problem is due to how my integrated graphics chipset interacts with vulkan shaders.
Weird shimmering of all reflective surfaces, i.e. all over the cars, I think it's a shader problem?
Works right out the box.
Worked flawlessly without any configurations. The performance was excellent.
Works out of the box (MSAA was disabled for me in the default settings).
For high refresh rate monitor users, remember to increase the FPS limit by editing config/graphics.config
in the Crashday user data folder (not the installation folder). The default limit is 125, which isn't sufficient for 144 Hz and above.
Changed first line in the graphics configuration file
(in ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/508980/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Local\ Settings/Application\ Data/Crashday/config/graphics.config)
from
"FSAA": 2
to
"FSAA": 0
as per @siniyby's instructions.
Game runs fine, No major issues in my 90 minutes, and a few career missions. Tried with keyboard and PS4 controller, Both seem to work fine
Trying to load some mods will crash the mods window

Mouse was super sensitive in game
Черный экран, помогло path_to_Steam_library/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/508980/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Local Settings/Application Data/Crashday/config/graphics.config заменить "FSAA" 2 на 0

Black screen on game launch
I can access splash screen with a choice of "play" or "mods". Clicking "play" results in a black screen and intro music playing. Steam overlay works. Also, the mod configuration menu becomes nearly unresponsive once 7 or more mods are selected.

Runs perfectly in every mode, after some config edits

Works perfectly.
To fix black screen at launch open path_to_Steam_library/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/508980/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Local Settings/Application Data/Crashday/config/graphics.config and change the value of "FSAA" from 2 to 0
The text on the buttons in the launcher (PLAY and MODS) doesn't appear.

I beat the whole game but had to perform a simple tweak. Instruction below:
If after the first installation the game starts with a black screen and just sound, Open in your text editor of choice the following file: "steamapps/compatdata/508980/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Local Settings/Application Data/Crashday/config/graphics.config" Change the value of "FSAA" from 2 to 0
After that, the game should run fine. It can sometimes crash during startup or while loading a level but I've only experienced such a crash once and I've beat the entire campaign. The initial startup screen shows 2 buttons with no text, select the left one to play. The second button opens a steam workshop mod manager which sadly crashes when you have any mods installed, so mods don't work.
